Abstract: The information processing apparatus (2000) of the example embodiment 1 includes an acquisition unit (2020), a clustering unit (2040), a transformation unit (2060) and modeling unit (2080). Until a predetermined termination condition is determined, the clustering unit (2040) repeatedly preforms: 1) optimizing the posterior parameters for clustering assignment for each data streams; 2) optimizes the posterior parameters for each determined cluster and for each time frame; 3) optimizes the posterior parameters for individual responses for each data stream; 4) optimizes the posterior parameters for latent states, via approximating the observation model through non-conjugate inference. The transformation unit (2060) transforms the latent states into parameters of the observation model, through a transformation function. The modeling unit (2060) generates the model data, which including all the optimized parameters of all the model latent variables, optimized inside the clustering unit (2040).

  • Patent number: 11281732
Abstract: Extensions to add functionality to an extensible computing technology development tool are identified based at least in part on whether they support a media type that is associated with a file being opened in the development tool. The extensible tool may be a software development tool or a hardware development tool. Complex recommendation mechanisms in the form of collaborative filtering, user preference history content-based filtering, and demographic profile-based recommendations, are avoided, thereby making recommendation actions faster and less resource-intensive. Users have discretion as to how often a tool extension marketplace is searched, and discretion as to how much detail is shown in presenting the search results.

  • Patent number: 11281648
Abstract: Technologies for flexible tree-based lookups include an network device that receives a network packet. The network device classifies the network packet to determine a packet type and extracts multiple fields from the network packet to generate a field vector. The fields are selected based on the packet type. The field vector includes words that are associated with the fields. The network device builds a tree representation of the field vector. The tree representation includes a leaf node corresponding to each word of the field vector and one or more root nodes. The network device executes an iterative lookup over the tree representation and, if matching, may perform an action associated with the iterative lookup. To execute the lookup, the network device may determine whether a search key for each node exactly matches a search rule, up to a root node. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11256703
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide improved techniques for determining long term relevance and user behavior using query chains. The query chains may first be detected and then annotated into different types of chains based at least in part on various decision rules, machine-learned classifiers, and inter-query relationships. The query chains may then be subsequently used to train models for predicting user behavior and providing more relevant results to a user's queries. A content provider system according to various embodiments may aggregate historical data associated with previous search and/or transaction data, which may be analyzed to detect query chains, for example, whether queries are chained to each other. Determining whether queries are chained to each other may involve incorporating decision rules and reformulation models, analyzing temporal windows between queries, and/or analyzing inter-query relationships.

  • Patent number: 11249946
Abstract: Change notify responses can be utilized to inform a remote computer that a file or directory that is being monitored has changed. A change notify response can include a path name to the file or directory being referenced. In some examples, a cache of path names can be maintained in a user space of a server implementing change notify responses. When a module that generates a change notify response does generate such a response, the module can first access the cache to determine if the relevant path name is located in the cache. Where the relevant path name is not located in the cache, the module can obtain the path name from kernel space and store it in the cache.

  • Patent number: 11238051
Abstract: A moment engine is arranged to characterize and/or determine relationships between items, such as a wine, or moments, such as an event, emotional experience and/or an activity. Characteristics for the items or moments may be used to define how the items or moments relate to a two-dimensional grid, e.g., to allow the items or moments to be displayed on an X-Y grid. Relationships between items and/or moments can be determined based on the item/moment characterization on the X-Y grid, e.g., to allow for the recommendation of an item for a particular moment, or the recommendation of a moment for a particular item.

  • Patent number: 11210275
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to facilitate automated database system workload classification. A utilization metrics data source may contain utilization metrics vectors associated with workloads of the database system. A variational autoencoder may receive utilization metrics vectors from the utilization metrics data source and encode the utilization metrics vectors into latent vector features. Moreover, the variational autoencoder may be trained to generate appropriate distributions around the latent vector features. A synthetic workload creation platform receives information about the distributions around the latent vector features and samples different values from the distributions to create synthetic workload vectors. A workload classification platform, trained using the synthetic workload vectors, may then generate workload classification labels for workloads running on the database system (e.g., to tune database parameters as appropriate).

  • Patent number: 11176159
Abstract: A serverless data processing architecture may be a high-velocity, cost-efficient and massively scalable log ingest application and event parser that may act as the intermediary between data collection and data analysis and may handle the receipt and parsing of incoming event data generated by collector and sensor applications. The log analytics data science portion of an ingest process may determine if arbitrarily structured log data is anomalous and/or security relevant via single event or multievent algorithms. There are numerous applications for both the single and multi-event log analytics platforms. Any application involving reliably finding anomalous pieces of semi-structured or unstructured text data may provide potential use cases. These processes may be particularly widely applicable because these processes are agnostic to and require no prior knowledge of the structure of the data.
