  • Patent number: 11430037
Abstract: Real time item listing modification is described. A listing modification system receives, via a real time communication protocol from a client device, user interaction data that describes an item listing of a network-based commerce system currently being accessed at the client device. The user interaction data further describes an identity of a user of the client device and a manner in which the user of the client device interacts with the item listing. A modification user interface is generated for output at a different computing device and configured to present the user interaction data together with controls that are selectable to cause modification of the item listing output to the client device. The modified item listing is selectively output to only the client device, such that other computing devices simultaneously accessing the item listing are not updated to display the modified item listing.

  • Patent number: 11423448
Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating interactions between customers and agents are disclosed that include detecting whether a customer is present on a website related to an enterprise. The detection is performed subsequent to an initiation of an interaction with an agent by the customer. When the customer is detected to be present, an option is provided to the agent to offer co-browsing of the web site to the customer. In response to an acceptance of the offer by the customer, a co-browsing session is initiated for facilitating the co-browsing of the website. Digital content is generated based on at least one of the ongoing co-browsing session and the interaction between the customer and the agent and display of the digital content by the agent to the customer is caused. The digital content is displayed during the ongoing co-browsing session to provide assistance to the customer.

  • Patent number: 11403675
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for presenting supplemental information to a user that is related to an advertisement consumed by the user that the user found interesting. It may be determined that a user is interested in receiving supplemental information based on the user starting to use a device within a threshold time period from consuming the advertisement on a different device. The threshold time period may be determined based on historical amounts of time users have taken to access supplemental information after consuming the advertisement (e.g., if users access a webpage associated with the advertisement five minutes after the conclusion of the advertisement, the threshold time period may be five minutes). In response to determining that the user started using the first device within the threshold period of time from the end of the advertisement, supplemental information associated with the advertisement may be presented.

  • Patent number: 11367120
Abstract: Business goals may be achieved using adaptive rewarding for the personalization of contents. In response to receiving user information, personalized contents for the user can be recommended using a reinforcement learning algorithm. In response to presenting the personalized content to the user, an action by the user selecting a particular content may be received. A reward value can be calculated for the action based on a reward function. The reward function can be based, at least in part, upon the action, the selected content, and/or the user. The reward function can be based upon one or more business goals, such as user engagement, monetization, and/or security. The calculated reward value can be provided to the reinforcement learning algorithm, which can be adapted based upon the reward value for future selection of personalized contents.

  • Patent number: 11288695
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for using a machine learning model to analyze customers data for each of a number of customers interacting with electronic commerce, and determining whether the customers are high value customers. For the high value customers, one or more high value actions are then determined by the machine learning model, the one or more high value actions representing actions previously performed by or with respect to the customers and that correlate with a likelihood of the customers reaching high value customers status. Non-high value customers may then be prompted to perform the high value action which may elevate the non-high value customers to high value customers status.

  • Patent number: 11288240
Abstract: The DATA LEARNING AND ANALYTICS APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DLA”) provides a data learning platform that analyzes and incorporates data knowledge from new data event updates (e.g., in a real-time stream, in a batch, etc.). In one implementation, the DLA provides a real-time data mining mechanism that accommodates an ever increasing data load instantaneously with reduced complexity, e.g., without re-building the data analytical model in its entirety whenever new data is received. In this way, the DLA provides an incremental learning mechanism for data analytics and thus the latency for real-time data assessment is reduced and the data processing efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 11270159
Abstract: An online system trains a content selection model based on a selected subset of presented content items as well as a sampled set of content items. The content selection model is configured to receive a set of features characterizing a user-content item pair and output a likelihood that the user will interact with the content item. The sampled set of content items may include content items that were not selected for display based on their likelihoods in addition to those that were selected, and may represent a wider distribution of user-content item pairs than the selected subset. By incorporating the sampled set of content items as well as the selected subset of content items in the training process, the online system can reduce bias in the content selection process such that content items similar to the unselected subset can also be adequately represented.

  • Patent number: 11244360
Abstract: An ad collision machine can be configured to evaluate collision queries for possible ad collisions and is associated with an ad datacenter configured to evaluate and respond to bid requests on behalf of a plurality of advertisers. The ad collision machine can comprise a plurality of nodes and a data cache containing a plurality of user ID-campaign ID keys representing recently submitted bids in response to bid requests. Once a selected node receives a collision query, a user ID-campaign ID key is retrieved from the collision query. If the first key is not found in the data cache, it is written to the data cache by the node and the ad collision machine returns that user ID-campaign ID pair as available to be bid on.

  • Patent number: 11164070
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining user engagement with a content item. A computing device accesses at least one image of eyes of a user that is captured while a client device is presenting a first content item on a display of the client device. The computing device determines, based on using the at least one image as input in a neural network, a gaze of the user. The gaze including coordinates at which the user is looking in relation to the client device. The neural network was trained based on machine generated images of a modeled human user looking at various coordinates. The computing device determines, based on the gaze of the user, an engagement score for the user. The engagement score indicates a level of engagement of the user with the first content item.

  • Patent number: 11144936
Abstract: A processing device selects a population of persons and measures sales metrics from the population over a time period and measures an advertising weight over the time period. The processing device determines an effect that the advertising weight has on the sales metrics and additionally calculates values for a degree of targetedness for the advertisement to the population of persons. The processing device determines an effect that the degree of targetedness has on the sales metrics and generates a multi-dimensional model that measures the combined effects of the advertising weight and the degree of targetedness on the sales metrics.

  • Patent number: 11120483
Abstract: In accordance with one or more aspects, service requesters (e.g., advertisers) and/or affiliates (e.g., providing data traffic) may be set up for operation on a performance exchange. In accordance with other aspects, performance and monitoring may be carried out for such advertisers and/or affiliates. In some embodiments, routing criteria is established for affiliates, and may include information for selecting data traffic resources such as advertisements and network links, to be routed by the affiliates for providing data traffic over disparate networks. Requests for distribution of the data traffic resources (e.g., advertisements, links for obtaining the data traffic) are received and a routing option is selected for the requests based on the routing criteria for affiliates and criteria associated with a service requester from which the request is received. The routing option may specify one or more affiliates via which the data traffic resources are to be routed.
