Patent number: 4591038Abstract: An automatic clutch control system, for use in automobiles, using a microcomputer. Included in the system are an accelerator pedal sensor for detecting accelerator position; an engine speed sensor for detecting engine speed; a clutch stroke sensor for detecting clutch stroke; and an automobile speed sensor for detecting automobile speed. The microcomputer is included in a controller for controlling opening or closing of solenoid valves, gear change of a transmission, and opening or closing of a throttle actuator, based on predetermined stored data and based on signals transmitted from the sensors. The automatic clutch control system consequently can automatically control the clutch moving time and clutch moving speed for easy driving under all driving conditions. Moreover, while the clutch control system is fully automatic, it can use dry-type single-plate clutches and sliding-mesh-type transmissions as in manual and semiautomatic transmissions.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1984Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Yasuyoshi Asagi, Noriaki Ogawa, Hitoshi Kasai, Toshihiro Hattori, Masaki Ishihara, Makoto Uriuhara

Patent number: 4425812Abstract: An engine starter drive device having a sleeve member slidably and mounted for rotation on a power shaft of a motor is disclosed. The sleeve is connected to a mounting shaft which is mounted adjacent to the power shaft. A pinion gear is mounted on the mounting shaft. A driving clutch member is mounted on external helical splines formed on the sleeve. The driving member is connected in one direction of rotation to a driven clutch member by axially extending clutch teeth. The driven member is connected to the pinion gear for rotation therewith. Patent number: 4406357Abstract: A damper disk comprises a pair of side plates at both sides of a flange of a hub splined to an output shaft. Both side plates and the flange are connected each other through torsion springs. One or a pair of sub-plates are disposed between the flange and the side plates. Both side plates are connected together by a stop pin which extends through notches in the flange and the sub-plates. The notches in the sub-plates are shorter than the notch in the flange. Frictional force between the flange 2 and the sub-plate is set stronger than that between the side plates and sub-plates. According to the invention, hysteresis torque changes during torsional operation, thereby, noises during idling of the engine as well as acceleration can be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1981Date of Patent: September 27, 1983Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Daikin SeisakushoInventors: Tamio Nagano, Yoshio Nishimura
