  • Patent number: 6748838
Abstract: A table saw having a rotation structure includes a work table, a suspension rod, a swing seat, a rotation seat, a push lever, two torsion springs, and a threaded rod. When the threaded rod is rotated, the push lever is displaced horizontally to push the rotation seat to rotate, so that the circular blade is moved upward, thereby adjusting the cutting height of the circular blade. Thus, the push lever is urged by the elastic force of the two torsion springs, so that the push lever is closely and rigidly combined with the threaded rod, thereby eliminating the clearance between the push lever and the threaded rod, so that the cutting height of the circular, blade is adjusted exactly and precisely, thereby enhancing the cutting efficiency of the table saw.

  • Patent number: 6745927
Abstract: A powered dispenser for dispensing individual paper towel segments from a continuous roll of paper provided with spaced lines of tearing comprises a housing, a support for the roll of paper, a feed mechanism, and a control device. The control device senses the presence of a user to activate the feed mechanism, controls the amount of material which is dispensed from the housing for any one cycle, and prevents further dispensing of the paper until the previous segment is separated from the roll. The control device detects the leading edge of the paper to initiate monitoring of the length of paper to be dispensed to prevent any cumulative error in dispensing the segments.

  • Patent number: 6745476
Abstract: A cutting tool (10) adapted to produce chamfers along the edges of drywall panels. The tool (10,110,210) comprises a housing having a channel (18) defined by a base wall (13) and substantially parallel first and second sidewalls (15,17) that are substantially perpendicular to the base wall (13). A primary cutting blade (30) extends from the first sidewall (15) at an angle across the channel (18) toward the second sidewall (17). The primary blade (30) is configured to cut through an edge of a panel placed in the channel (18) as the cutting tool (10,110,210) is caused to move along the edge of the panel, thereby creating a chamfered edge on the panel. A second cutting blade (32) also extends from the first sidewall (15) and is positioned adjacent the primary blade (30) to create a perforation in the edge of the panel prior to the panel encountering the primary blade (30).

  • Patent number: 6742427
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel helical drum shear which is operable to cut a strip of material which moving at a first velocity. The cut is formed along a substantially straight line at a specific angle. The specific angle may be at an angle perpendicular to the feed direction thereby producing a squared cut. The helical drum shear comprises a means for cutting the material wherein the cutting means moves at a second velocity which is at a predetermined angle from the first velocity. The apparatus further comprises a means for moving the cutting means at a third velocity such that the combination of the second velocity and the third velocity is equivalent to the first velocity and the material is helically sheared along a substantially straight line oblique to the first velocity.
