  • Patent number: 6874635
Abstract: A preformed heat shrinking protective cover for a saw blade includes first and second portions each having opposite inner and outer surfaces. The second portion extends from the first portion at an angle relative to the first portion. The first and second portions are configured and adapted for a saw blade to be positioned in contact with the inner surface of the first portion. The first and second portions are made from a heat shrinking material so that when heat is applied to the cover, the second portion shrinks and folds over the first portion with the inner surfaces facing each other and teeth on a saw blade can be retained between the first and second portions. The resulting cover is close fitting and reduces the overall thickness of a saw blade with a protective cover.

  • Patent number: 6868999
Abstract: A protective hand covering for adhering to the user's hand. Pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to the back surface of a sheet of thin flexible film, which is shaped to cover a protected area of the users hand. The pressure-sensitive adhesive provides a sufficiently strong bond to prevent the hand covering from being inadvertently dislodged, but a sufficiently weak bond to allow the hand covering to be removed without injuring the user. The film is sufficiently impervious to contaminates to prevent the transfer of contaminates from the substance or object being handled to the user and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 6857191
Abstract: A rotary knife having a ring blade that defines a closed loop cutting surface for cutting material which the ring blade contacts during rotation. Materials cut using the blade such as meat cut from a carcass or trimmed from a piece of meat are suctioned away from the blade. The material is drawn into a blade housing which supports the ring blade. A housing body has a wall that defines a housing interior into which material separated by the cutting surface of the ring blade moves as it is cut. The blade housing body defines a bearing surface that is defined by a wall of the housing body that supports the ring blade and allows the ring blade to rotate with respect to the blade housing. Alternate coupling designed of the housing body allow the blade housing to be coupled to a suction tube for withdrawing meat from the interior of the blade housing.
