  • Patent number: 11854043
Abstract: An on-line marketplace provides systems and methods for a mutually beneficial messaging campaign with one or more merchants, in order to promote the merchants' products. One aspect of the messaging campaign includes augmenting the merchants' budgets across multiple commercial channels. The channels may include merchant-operated channels, marketplace-operated channels, and/or third party channels. The marketplace selects when and how to augment the merchants' budgets. The augmented budget comprises an overall content budget for the messaging campaign, including a first budget portion provided by the merchant(s) and a second budget portion provided by the on-line marketplace. The augmented budget may be determined based on a weighted combination of goals of the marketplace and one or more merchants. The augmented budget may be segmented into static and dynamic portions, in which the dynamic portion is varied between channels to determine variables to optimize budget allocation and message performance.

  • Patent number: 11836576
Abstract: A training process of a machine learning model is executed at the edge node for a number of iterations to generate a model parameter based at least in part on a local dataset and a global model parameter. A resource parameter set indicative of resources available at the edge node is estimated. The model parameter and the resource parameter set are sent to a synchronization node. Updates to the global model parameter and the number of iterations are received from the synchronization node based at least in part on the model parameter and the resource parameter set of edge nodes. The training process of the machine learning model is repeated at the edge node to determine an update to the model parameter based at least in part on the local dataset and updates to the global model parameter and the number of iterations from the synchronization node.

  • Patent number: 11810078
Abstract: A technique is disclosed for providing an interactive digital receipt on a user device, where the receipt offers transaction information associated with a financial transaction and one or more interactive components including an interactive tipping component that allows a customer to add a gratuity amount for the financial transaction. The interactive digital receipt is generated in response to an occurrence of the particular financial transaction. In one embodiment, the interactive tipping component is time-based and is associated with a timeframe that defines a time period for which the customer may submit the gratuity amount. Based on determining that no input to the interactive tipping component has been received within the timeframe, a payment is processed for a transaction amount and a default gratuity amount.

  • Patent number: 11790415
Abstract: In some implementations, a system may receive information that identifies a plurality of locations of a user device. The system may determine, based on the plurality of locations, that the user device is traveling along a route associated with a vehicle. The system may determine route information that indicates a plurality of disembarkation points along the route. The system may determine that reception of location information from the user device has failed, after determining that the user device is traveling along the route. The system may identify a set of disembarkation points based on determining that reception of location information from the user device has failed and based on a most recent location of the user device. The system may determine a disembarkation point, from the set of disembarkation points, to be used as an endpoint of the route.

  • Patent number: 11790472
Abstract: A system provides for digital issuance of surety bonds and corresponding powers of attorney to eliminate fraud using multiple security layers, and includes a server communicating with client devices of: surety companies, agents, contractors, and obligees. A surety company accesses a GUI to grant power of attorney to an agent; the agent accesses a GUI to prepare a digital bond for the contractor. The draft bond is signed digitally by the agent and contractor in the closed system. The server generates and subsequently displays a unique identifier on both the executed bond and associated power of attorney, to act as a digital stapler to prevent subsequent fraudulent use of the power of attorney independent of that executed bond. An audit trail provided by the executed bond includes hyperlinks to: time-date stamps of the digital signatures; and IP Addresses of the client devices used for the digital signatures.

  • Patent number: 11687949
Abstract: An example of a method for detecting hacking activities includes identifying one or more attributes of each interaction in a sequence of interactions between one or more users and bank services during a predetermined time period. The one or more users are categorized into a plurality of groups based on the identified attributes. Each of the plurality of groups includes users performing the sequence of interactions with the bank services during the predetermined time period. A degree of anomaly is calculated for each of the plurality of groups based on a total number of users associated with a corresponding sequence of interactions and based on a number of users associated with the corresponding sequence of interactions during the predetermined time period. The calculated degree of anomaly is compared with a predetermined threshold. Hacking activity is identified, in response to determining that the calculated degree of anomaly exceeds the predetermined threshold.
