Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose an RRU, which performs IDFT on a PUSCH signal that is obtained after resource block demapping, where due to a characteristic of an extremely low peak to average power ratio of SC-FDMA modulation, a signal after IDFT has an extremely low peak to average power ratio at this time, and an amplitude range of the signal changes slightly; amplitude/phase conversion is performed on the signal after the IDFT, where the signal after the IDFT is represented by using amplitude and phase, and then amplitude quantization and phase quantization are performed respectively to obtain a quantized amplitude signal and a quantized phase signal respectively.

  • Patent number: 8537838
Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods for receiving one or more input signals and providing output signals in various video, audio, data and mixed formats are described. One or more input processors receive the input signals. Each of the input processors provides one or more packetized signals corresponding to one or more of the input signals received at the input processor. Each output processor can receive one or more packetized signals and generate or more output signals. The output signals correspond to one or more of the input signals, additional locally generated signals or data relating to the signals or any combination of such signals. Use of a packet router according to the invention allows input signals encoded as one set of packetized signals to be recombined to provide additional packetized signals incorporating the same or different combinations of the packetized signals.

  • Patent number: 8531960
Abstract: Methods and systems for using counters to monitor port buffers are described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving data packets into a system port buffer having different queues. Also, counters are associated with the queues. Further, the method includes scanning the counters, in which the counters count the number of dropped data packets associated with an individual queue of the different queues. Moreover, the method includes determining if the number of dropped data packets for an individual queue is greater than a predetermined number. If the number of dropped data packets is greater than the predetermined number, then a message is generated.

  • Patent number: 8509073
Abstract: An error management system and process can be used to identify an erroneous data packet in a data stream. In response to identifying the erroneous data packet, a subsequent valid data packet is located in the data stream. In one embodiment, a plurality of candidate locations of header checksum windows are searched and checked for a valid checksum. Multiple integrity checks of multiple header checksums can be used to reduce the probability of a false positive integrity check. In another embodiment, one or more information data fields can used for determining packet integrity by determining if the fields contain valid information bits.

  • Patent number: 8503469
Abstract: A technique for providing network access in accordance with at least one layered network access technology comprising layer 1 processes and layer 2 processes is described. In a device implementation, the technique comprises a shared memory adapted to store at least layer 1 data and layer 2 data as well as a memory access component coupled to the shared memory and comprising a first client port adapted to receive memory access requests from a layer 1 processing client and a second client port adapted to receive memory access requests from a layer 2 processing client. The memory access component is configured to serve a memory access request from the layer 1 processing client with a lower priority than a memory access request from the layer 2 processing client. In particular, the memory access component may be adapted to prioritize reading of layer 1 data by the layer 2 processing client over writing of layer 2 data by the layer 1 processing client.

  • Patent number: 8498262
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to transmitting receiver-capacity-signalling data that specifies a plurality of receiver capacities to be used for receiving a service. The signalled receiver capacities may include: a type of time interleaver being used and a minimum burst interval between two consequent bursts. The signaled receiver capacities may also specify: how often a physical layer pipe appears in frames, and/or a number of a frame in which a physical layer pipe appears for a first time during a super frame. Embodiments are directed to receiving the receiver-capacity-signalling data and if, based on the received receiver-capacity-signalling data, receiver capacity is sufficient for one or more selected services, performing service discovery and decoding the one or more services. Otherwise, decoding the one or more services may not be performed.

  • Patent number: 8493971
Abstract: A network management system (NMS) maintains topology information of a network allowing coexistence of PDH network and SDH network. The network management system (NMS) generates a topology data for path calculation in a path calculation device in accordance with the topology information of the network after converting topology information of the PDH network into topology information of an SDH network. The path calculation device calculates the optimum path in answer to a path calculation request from the network management system (NMS) on the basis of the topology data for path calculation generated therein, and returns the calculation result. The network management system (NMS) reverts the SDH network topology information generated through conversion from the PDH network topology information among the SDH network topology information included in the calculation result received from the path calculation device to the PDH network topology information before the conversion.

  • Patent number: 8477747
Abstract: Wireless endpoints to be secured in a wireless network context are automatically identified. More specifically, wireless endpoints connecting to a wireless access point are detected. It is determined whether detected endpoints are connecting to the wireless access point to join a wireless network. Wireless access points determined to be connecting to the wireless access point to join a wireless network are automatically identified as endpoints to be managed. • Patent number: 8213369
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method and a system for obtaining home agent information of a mobile node. The method includes: when a DHCPv6 server receives a request message from a mobile node, it obtains the home agent information of the mobile node; the DHCPv6 server includes the home agent information into the response message, and sends the response to the mobile node. With embodiments of the present invention, a mobile node may obtain its home agent information (such as its home agent address information) simultaneously when it requests related information. When the request message is a home address request message or a care-of address request message, the invention provides a clearly defined process for a mobile node to obtain home agent information when it is started up on a home link or foreign link. The invention avoids a special message interaction procedure to obtain home agent information.
