  • Patent number: 9854094
Abstract: A redundant Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) call center system has two data centers each having a first and a second SIP server cooperating as a first SIP-server high availability (HA) pair, a set of SW applications executable at each data center, and a plurality of agent stations each comprising a SIP telephone and a computerized appliance executing a desktop application at each agent station. The HA pairs operate as SIP server peers, the agent SIP phones are configured to maintain simultaneous registration with both SIP server peers, and Agent Desktop applications log in to only one SIP server peer, wherein the SIP Server peers collaborate to deliver calls to individual agent SIP phones via the SIP server peer where the agent is logged in, and wherein, upon failure of either data center agent's desktop applications log in to the other data center, allowing the associated agent to continue working.

  • Patent number: 9792084
Abstract: A machine is configured to identify a media file that, when played to a user, is likely to modify an emotional or physical state of the user to or towards a target emotional or physical state. The machine accesses play counts that quantify playbacks of media files for the user. The playbacks may be locally performed or detected by the machine from ambient sound. The machine accesses arousal scores of the media files and determines a distribution of the play counts over the arousal scores. The machine uses one or more relative maxima in the distribution in selecting a target arousal score for the user based on contextual data that describes an activity of the user. The machine selects one or more media files based on the target arousal score. The machine may then cause the selected media file to be played to the user.

  • Patent number: 9779288
Abstract: A method for identifying unknown third parties appearing within video call data based on generated image characteristics data. A user's computing device and a participant computing device may exchange and render video call data in which the user's computing device may display the unknown third-party. The user's computing device may generate image characteristics data based on selected imagery. The user's computing device may compare the image characteristics data to stored contact information on the user's computing device to find a match, and may transmit the image characteristics data to the participant computing device for comparison with local stored information stored. The participant computing device may transmit a report message to the user's computing device indicating whether a match is found. In an embodiment, a server may transmit the facial data to other devices for comparison. In another embodiment, the user's computing device may request contact information from participant computing devices.

  • Patent number: 9774724
Abstract: Systems and methods for intelligently routing an incoming telephone call to an internal extension based on the calling history are provided. According to one embodiment, a session log, containing information regarding sessions between internal extension numbers and external telephone numbers, is maintained by a call monitor of a telephone system. The internal extension numbers are associated with telephone extensions within the telephone system and the external telephone numbers are associated with telephones outside of the telephone system. An incoming telephone call is received by the call monitor from a telephone outside the telephone system that is associated with an external telephone number. It is determined by the call monitor whether the incoming call represents a call-back to an internal extension number based on the session log. When the incoming call is determined to represent a call-back, then causing a switch to route the incoming call to the internal extension number.

  • Patent number: 9762855
Abstract: A technique for sharing a physical target board over an electronic conference includes transforming live video from a webcam into output video that provides an enhanced view of the physical target board. The output video is shared with one or more computing machines of conference participants to enable such participants to see the enhanced view of the physical target board in real time. The conference participants can thus enjoy enhanced images of the physical board and its content, which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to see.

  • Patent number: 9762856
Abstract: A video conferencing server (100) receives and combines video streams captured by cameras of plural video clients (101) and generates immersive video streams (124, 125) for delivery to and play-out by these video clients (101). A cut-out module (102) in the video conferencing server (100) generates a foreground mask (122) for a video frame (121) received from a conferencing client (101). A camera shake detector (103) determines a displacement vector (123) for a subset of features in the video frame (121). The displacement vector (123) represents a two-dimensional motion of the subset of features between a background mask and a previous background mask for a previous video frame received from the same conferencing client (101).

  • Patent number: 9763004
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling an audio conference are provided. In one aspect, a system includes a transmitting device which receives audio signals representing sounds captured by at least two microphones from participants situated at a first location. A time-of-arrival delay between at least two of the audio signals is calculated and a beam-formed monaural audio signal and corresponding spatial data are generated and transmitted to remote participants situated at a second location. A receiving device processes the beam-formed monaural audio signal based on the spatial data to render and output spatial audio via speakers to the remote participants at the second location. In various aspects, the spatial data may include an angular value or a participant identifier that are determined based on the time-of-arrival delay. The spatial data may also indicate a total number of conference participants that are detected at the first location.

  • Patent number: 9756176
Abstract: Systems and methods for intelligently routing an incoming telephone call to an internal extension based on the calling history are provided. According to one embodiment, a session log is maintained by a call monitor of a telephone system. The session log contains multiple call session records relating to telephone calls between internal extension numbers and external telephone numbers. An incoming telephone call from a telephone external to the telephone system is received by the call monitor. The session log is searched by the call monitor for a call session record corresponding to the external telephone number. When a result of the searching meets one or more predetermined or configurable conditions, then a switch of the telephone system is caused by the call monitor to route the incoming telephone call to one of the internal extension numbers.

  • Patent number: 9736296
Abstract: Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.

  • Patent number: 9716860
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for linking a plurality of conferences that are occurring on separate conference bridges. In one embodiment, the network is configured to determine when two or more related conferences are occurring on separate conference bridges. Related conferences may be any two conferences that share the same attribute. For example, two conferences may be initiated on separate conference bridges under the same account number for a user of the system. When the related conferences are detected, the network links the two conferences through the network such that participants in both conferences may now interact as if in a single collaboration conference. The linking allows the network to combine related conferences without the need to disconnect anyone conference from a conference bridge.
