Abstract: An issue tracking system configured to determine whether an issue request submitted by a user of the issue tracking system can, or should, be subdivided into two or more issue requests. In some implementations, the issue tracking system is configured to extract a content item of the issue request (e.g., title, description, and the like) in order to perform a semantic and/or syntactic analysis of that content item. Upon determining that the content item includes two or more clauses linked by a coordinating, subordinating, or correlative conjunction, the system can provide a recommendation to the user to submit discrete two or more issue requests, each one of which corresponds to a single linked clause of the content item.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for formatting raw text. One method includes an operation for accessing raw text comprising words corresponding to one or more sentences. The raw text is lowercase text without any punctuation. Further, the method includes operations for creating a plurality of sub-words corresponding to the raw text, and for generating, by a machine-learning (ML) model, an output for each sub-word based on the created sub-words. The output for each sub-word indicates a formatting operation for the corresponding sub-word. The method further includes an operation for generating, based on the formatting operations in the outputs for the sub-words, formatted text corresponding to the raw text. The formatted text is text with correct grammar, proper punctuation, and proper capitalization according to a meaning of words spoken by a speaker associated with the raw text.

Abstract: A thumbnail preview of a file enables a user to recognize the file without opening it. An algorithmic approach to generating simulated thumbnail previews is provided. This approach includes executing rules for determining and implementing one or more rendering schemas to simulate different content types within a portion of a file. A simulated thumbnail preview is generated from the simulated content types based on a file structure. Since users may rely on the general structure and distinguishing content elements of a thumbnail for recognizing a file, these distinguishing elements are maintained based on different rendering schemas used to create a simulated thumbnail. Moreover, the algorithmic approach promotes consistent simulated thumbnails across clients, regardless of client processing capabilities, form factors, customized theming, or the like. Based on the rules for rendering various content types, the simulated thumbnails are also consistently generated across documents.

Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium, and computer-implemented method for signing a document involving generating copies of the document in response to receiving actions to perform on the document. In particular, a web service can transmit a document for signing to a client device such that the document is viewable through graphical user interfaces while the underlying content of the document remains non-editable by the client devices through the web service. Responsive to receiving actions, the web service can generate one or more copies of the document that may include modifications that correspond to the received actions.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improved automated parsing and display of electronic documents. Embodiments include identifying a set of topics in a first electronic document based on one or more rules related to one or more keywords in the first electronic document. Embodiments include providing one or more inputs to a machine learning model based on the set of topics and a second electronic document related to the first electronic document. Embodiments include receiving, from the machine learning model in response to the one or more inputs, one or more outputs related to formatting the second electronic document for display. Embodiments include generating a formatted version of the first electronic document based on the set of topics and generating a formatted version of the second electronic document based on the one or more outputs.

Abstract: Digital content design system techniques are described using baseline units to control arrangement and sizing of digital content. In one example, a digital content design system receives a user input specifying a number of baselines to be included within an available display area of a page. Baselines are used to align digital content to control arrangement of the digital content within the page, e.g., text. From this, the digital content design system then calculates a baseline unit from a distance used to space adjacent baselines of the number of baselines from each other. This baseline unit is then leveraged by the system as a fundamental unit of measure to control arrangement and/or sizing of digital content in relation to each other.

Abstract: A testing materials production system generates a testing document associated with an electronic foundation document. The testing materials production system automatically generates the testing document by populating regions of a template with testing elements extracted from the electronic document. User customizations of the testing document are received, and the testing document is published to an extended catalog database associated with the electronic document. Regions of the testing document may be delivered in association with the electronic document to designated recipients via browser applications executing on computing devices of the recipients.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for replacing a default glyph in text displayed by an application with a preferred glyph. A preferred glyph is selected and the character value, glyph ID and font of the preferred glyph are extracted from the preferred glyph. The character value of the preferred glyph is then mapped to the glyph ID and font, which is then stored in a priority glyph set. A user can then input text into a document normally using default glyphs of a font. If it is determined that a character value associated with a default glyph is included in the priority glyph set, the default glyph is replaced by a preferred glyph. Additionally, suggestion glyphs may be presented to a user based on, at least, the character value, glyph ID, and font of a selected glyph.

Abstract: An automated presentation review system includes a controller in communication with a user device, the user device comprising an input mechanism and a display mechanism, and a memory coupled to the controller. The controller displays a graphical user interface through which a presentation review window is displayed. The presentation review window simultaneously provides a presentation display frame displaying a presentation comprising plurality of presentation slides and a results display frame. The controller then displays results of an analysis of the presentation that includes one or more icons signifying an inconsistency identified in the presentation across the plurality of presentation slides.

Abstract: A system for providing visual content optimization is disclosed. The system may comprise a data access interface, a processor, and an output interface. The data access interface may receive data associated with a design or graphical layout from a data source, and receive priority parameters. The processor may identify a plurality of discrete design elements from the design or graphical layout. The processor may create a new design or graphical layout based on the plurality of discrete design elements and on priority parameters. The processor may also evaluate the new design or graphical layout based on an evaluation technique. In some examples, the evaluation technique may include a visual attention prediction subsystem to determine the most visually appealing design using artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning. The processor may also select the new design or graphical layout based on a selection technique.

The second word embedding may be from the second text corpus. A first replacement text portion may be generated as a substitute for the first biased text. The first replacement text portion may include a first unbiased text. The first biased text and the first replacement text portion may be presented.

A message is caused to be sent to a second user device of the second user using the determined one or more user addresses.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for workflow style governance includes creating a document and specifying a document style of the document—either a linear workflow style or a branched workflow style. Thereafter, in response to a subsequent request to load the document, the specified document style for the document may be retrieved and, on condition that the specified document style is a linear workflow style, a specified version of the document is retrieved into a document editor for editing as a new version of the document. But otherwise, on condition that the specified document style is a branched workflow style, different components of the document are retrieved as a composition of components, each of an independent version, and a selected one of the components of the composition of the components making up the document is then loaded into a component editor for editing as a new version.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing graphic design using metadata relationships are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may display a visual design including a set of design elements, each of which may be contained within a corresponding container. The electronic device may receive a selection to spatially adjust a design element, and may determine a modification to the design element based an element behavior of the design element and/or a container behavior of the corresponding container. The electronic device may display, in the user interface, the design element reflecting the modification.
