Abstract: Digital content design system techniques are described using baseline units to control arrangement and sizing of digital content. In one example, a digital content design system receives a user input specifying a number of baselines to be included within an available display area of a page. Baselines are used to align digital content to control arrangement of the digital content within the page, e.g., text. From this, the digital content design system then calculates a baseline unit from a distance used to space adjacent baselines of the number of baselines from each other. This baseline unit is then leveraged by the system as a fundamental unit of measure to control arrangement and/or sizing of digital content in relation to each other.

Abstract: Unstructured explanatory information is added to an electronic mortgage form and other borrower/applicant documentation. When a user wishes to document or explain any entry or data, the user may add and insert an explanatory footnote into the electronic mortgage form and other borrower/applicant documentation. The user may enter a keyboard command or other instruction for locating and formatting the footnote. The user enters/types the text of the footnote, which may also include or specify an HTML tag that references a document attachment. When the electronic mortgage form is then generated, the electronic mortgage form incorporates the explanatory footnote. However, the HTML tag is replaced with a more human-understandable attachment name.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems, methods, and products comprises a server, which receives a request from a client's electronic device to optimize one or more media elements in an optimization zone of a web page. The server may receive a slideshow or a video and determine a candidate media dataset based on images from the slideshow or video. Alternatively, the server may receive an article and determine the candidate media dataset by searching images related with key words in the article. The server may modify the markup code of the web page and publish the media element within the candidate media dataset in the optimization zone. The server may further query the click-through rate (CTR) associated with each published media element. Based on the CTR results, the server update the rendering rate of each media element to produce the maximum CTR.

Abstract: The described technology is directed towards a pre-child user interface element in a user interface tree that draws before the parent element draws, (and thus before any conventional child element of the parent draws). For example, based upon current state data such as whether the parent element has focus, the pre-child may draw a highlight or the like before (so as to be beneath) drawing the representation of the parent element, to indicate the focused state (or and/or other current state or states). The user interface tree maintains a property that it is composable because the parent user interface element code is independent of what any of its pre-child element or pre-children elements do when invoked.

Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium, and computer-implemented method for signing a document involving generating copies of the document in response to receiving actions to perform on the document. In particular, a web service can transmit a document for signing to a client device such that the document is viewable through graphical user interfaces while the underlying content of the document remains non-editable by the client devices through the web service. Responsive to receiving actions, the web service can generate one or more copies of the document that may include modifications that correspond to the received actions.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for annotating video is provided herein. During the process of annotating a video, important text within a form is identified. Annotations are placed within the video that are related to the important text within the form. In addition to annotating the video with important text taken from the form, Information that is determined based on the text, may be taken from the video in order to help fill the form.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating a reference point on a path of a vector image using a preview reference point. In some examples, a method includes receiving selection of a path included in one or more paths of a vector image presented on a display, thereby identifying an active path; causing display, via the display, of a preview reference point on the active path; receiving a moving off-path input gesture and causing the preview reference point to move along the active path correspondingly with the moving off-path input gesture; and in response to the moving off-path input gesture terminating, set a current position of the preview reference point on the active path to a final reference point on the path, the current position of the preview reference point on the active path corresponding to a last position of the off-path input gesture. The display may be a touch-sensitive display.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for registering identifiers for locations, including sub-street address level, micro-locations in a real-time registry and controlling access to such locations and related real-time information. Every time the information is accessed, the system verifies continued ownership of the registered location identifier, and applies rules controlled by the owner to determine if, when, how, why, where, and to what extent such real-time micro-location information can be accessed and further enables and accounts for micro-payments to or from the owners to or from the users who are accessing the locations and information.

Abstract: According to an example of the present disclosure, a mobile terminal recognizes a webpage in an archive format in a browser of the mobile terminal, parses the webpage in the archive format to obtain file header information, obtains boundary strings and a character encoding format according to the file header information, performs a content dividing and content decoding operation to the webpage in the archive format, and displays data obtained via the content dividing and content decoding operation in form of a webpage.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel approach to displaying spreadsheets on mobile devices (e.g., cell phones, tablets, etc.) so that they are more easily viewable by the user. Aspects of the present disclosure provide multiple different views of a spreadsheet and simple transitions among those views. The multiple views facilitate the display of important aspects of a spreadsheet and optimize the spreadsheet viewing area. In particular, deck and card views are disclosed, wherein each view corresponds to a different display format of the spreadsheet. Furthermore, editing the spreadsheet data is also provided within these views.

Abstract: Specifying rules for processing data included in fields of elements of a dataset includes rendering user interface elements associated with a respective condition. The user interface elements include: first subsets of user interface elements, at least some of which are associated with an input value derived from at least one field, and second subsets of user interface elements, each configured to receive user input associated with a respective condition. Conditions are applied to at least a first element of the dataset based on user input received from at least some of the user interface elements, in response to receiving user input for a first user interface element associated with a first field. Instructions are generated for applying one or more selected conditions associated with fewer than all of the user interface elements, the selected conditions including at least a condition associated with the first user interface element.

Each object symbol includes a graphical representation, an object symbol type and an object type numerical value. The method includes generating one or more groups of object symbols of the one or more object symbols based upon the object symbol type of each of the object symbols. The method includes deriving a group cumulative quantity for each group of object symbols based upon the object type numerical value of each object symbol in each group of object symbols. The method includes generating a legend including a one or more legend entries corresponding to each of the one or more groups of object symbols. Each legend entry includes a group type symbol, the object symbol type, and a group cumulative quantity. The method includes displaying the legend.

Examples include acquisition of a request to provide a target user a document editor for a target document type and a determination, in response to the request, of which of a plurality of role policies is associated with the target user based on a role assigned to the target user in an enterprise, wherein each of the role policies is associated with a different role for the enterprise and specifies a different plurality of document editor functions permitted to be included in a document editor for the target document type for a user assigned to the associated role.

Abstract: A method for providing alternative text for use in association with an image in a web page includes processing, by a web browser application program, code for a web page to display the web page. The web browser application program identifies from the code a URI specifying an image data file for an image to be displayed in the web page. The web browser application program determines whether the URI of the image data file includes a fragment identifier and, in response to determining that the image data file includes a fragment identifier, determines whether text follows the fragment identifier. In response to determining that text follows the fragment identifier, the text is used to identify alternative text for the image and the web page is rendered with the alternative text in place of the image.

Abstract: Link association analysis systems are presented. Disclosed systems are configured to analyze links created by users and to determine possible reasons underpinning why a user would create such a link. The system derives such reasons by analyzing the context within which the link was created and to which the link points, and then presents the reasons as a data object to users for feedback. The system can be made to be self-refining by collecting survey data regarding its accuracy, so that the more users interact with the system, the more accurate the system is at deriving reasons for link creation.

Abstract: A tool is provided for document or design code completion. The tool includes a storage element in which common and user-specific unfinished work indicators are stored in first and second databases, respectively, a search element and a processor. The search element is disposed to identify unfinished work in documents by searching for matches of first text within the documents with second text of the common and user-specific work indicators in the first and second databases. The processor is configured to create a third database including the second text and pertinent sections of the documents. The pertinent sections are respectively associated with the second text and verifiably marked as unfinished by natural language processing of the first and second text by the processor. The processor is further configured to update the first and second databases based on results of the natural language processing.

Abstract: In various embodiments, methods and systems for managing portable document-based workspaces is provided. An indication to save a document-based workspace for a document is received on a computing device. The computing device can include a software application for editing the document and a client application for communicating with a cloud service component that is configured to store the document and the document-based workspace. Based on receiving the indication to save the document-based workspace, transient data associated with the document is identified. The transient data can be identified based on a data structure that defines document-specific data that are preserved as part of the document-based workspace. The document-based workspace is saved and communicated to the cloud service component such that the transient data associated with the document is accessible when the document is accessed from a second computing device that sends an indication to access the document and the document-based workspace.
