Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for exposing a workflow processes definition as a business object. Using the methods and apparatus herein, users can access a business object representing a workflow process definition from any system using standard database constructs. The data for the business object may be combined from a variety of existing sources and/or new data. Using the methods and apparatus a user may generate reports from the business object.

Abstract: Customer assistance is provided by leveraging certain contact center infrastructure components to a retail setting. Often contact centers have a wealth of information regarding individual products and services a retail setting may offer. The information, as provided herein, may then be delivered to the customer in the form of a dialogue. The dialogue may be based, in part, on a contact center dialogue for the same or similar item. The customer may then be instructed to perform an act, such as retrieving another item at a certain location. Unlike a contact center, the physical presence of the customer provides an opportunity to receive feedback in the form of monitor the customer's actions to determine if the customer complied with instructions. Optionally, a follow up activity may be imitated based on the customer's compliance.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems, methods and articles for preparing and/or submitting a plurality of different types of compliance forms for submission to a regulatory agency. The system includes a computing device, a data store, and a compliance form software program executable by the computing device. The compliance program includes a universal calculation engine, logic agent and user interface manager which are configured to process a respective domain model configured for each type of compliance form. Each domain model includes a calculation graph, a completeness model comprising decision table(s) and/or completeness graph(s), user interface assets and filing rules configured specifically for a particular type of compliance form. The rules and regulations for each type of compliance form are embodied in the declaratory data structures of the respective calculation graph and completeness graph for each domain model.

Abstract: Ownership of physical article are electronically registered in a database upon purchase of the physical articles from merchants. A merchant gives a uniquely numbered card to a customer with each purchased physical article. The numbered cards are not initially associated with a particular physical article. Each physical article has a label with a unique identifier code attached to the article or to the packaging of the article. The registration process involves associating the numbered card with the article's label. Registration is only permitted if the numbered card and the label's identifier code are not associated with a previously sold article. This process thwarts the potential sale of counterfeit articles to purchasers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for searching jobs for a member of a social network based on transitions of workers between companies. One method includes an operation for identifying jobs based on a search for jobs for the member who works for an employer, with each job being associated with a respective company. For each company associated with the jobs, the method determines an intercompany migration score indicating a transition probability that a coworker transitions from the employer to the company. For each job, a job affinity score is determined based on a comparison of job data and a member profile. Further, the method includes operations for ranking the jobs based on the intercompany migration score of the company and the job affinity score, and for causing presentation of a group including one or more of the ranked jobs in a user interface based on the ranking.

Abstract: A vehicle-centric cloud-based records management platform remains accessible through a web-based management portal and a mobile application, which can be integrated with vehicle devices for in-vehicle use. Regardless of the method of collection, the computerized method and system of the present invention are able to summarize the data into actionable documents for vehicle registration, fuel tax calculation/filing, and federal forms completion.

Abstract: Approaches for a model-driven tool-agnostic reporting approach are provided. In one example, a report request is received from a business intelligence reporting application, from which a graphical template and query template are created, wherein the graphical template comprises the visual presentation of data responsive to the request and the query template specifies how the data responsive to the request is to be computed. The report created by the approaches described herein is compatible with multiple business intelligence reporting applications.

Abstract: Mobile collection and vetting of user supplied information is described. The systems, techniques, devices, methods, and approaches described herein can be used to obtain, validate, and vet information, such as customs information, in a mobile environment. In embodiments, methods comprise receiving information input via a mobile device. The information is encapsulated by an intermediate to escort the information through a firewall to the database. In response to vetting the information to determine if it meets one or more criteria, the method involves creating a record associated with a unique identifier, information that bio-identifies a user, or an indication of a determination that results from the vetting. In this embodiment, the method includes generating an electronic receipt for communication to the mobile device, the electronic receipt including the unique identifier.

Abstract: A computer based system for social network assistance is disclosed. Via use of the system and related methods, a high-volume social media account (for example, an airline Twitter account) may be managed to enable prompt and thorough responses to incoming social media messages. In this manner, customer issues and feedback may be more effectively addressed, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and goodwill associated with the owner of the high-volume social media account.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for ranking and presenting companies that are experiencing high growth in positions fulfillable by a user in response to a search for the user. A method includes identifying, on a social network, jobs that are available for presentation to the user and offered by one or more companies. The method further includes identifying proxy users who have similar skills as the user. For each company, a server determines a position growth score based on the number of proxy users who have transitioned to or from the company within a predetermined amount of time. The server additionally ranks the jobs within a high-growth companies group for the user based on the position growth score for each job. The jobs are then presented to the user on a user interface according to the job ranking.

Abstract: In an example, a first hash function is performed on job posting features extracted from a job posting to obtain hashed job posting features. The hashed job posting features are stored in a forward-index corresponding to the job posting in the database. When a job search query is received from a first member of a social networking service, job search query features are extracted from the job search query and a second hash function is performed on the job search query features. The hashed job posting features and the hashed job search query features are fed to a job posting result ranking model trained via a machine learning algorithm to compare the hashed job posting features to the hashed job search query features to generate an application likelihood score indicating a likelihood that the first member will apply for a job corresponding to the job posting.

These job recall services include management and distribution of job recall materials that test whether job applicants have acquired desired knowledge or skills for a particular job opening or class of jobs. The job recall materials are uploaded to the education platform and mapped to one or more learning units. Each learning unit is associated with an educational course and includes a distinct concept in the associated course. Responsive to a user of the education platform completing the learning unit to which a job recall material is mapped, the job recall material is recommended to the user.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically generating a company profile in a social network are described. A profile generation module can access employment data from a member profile in a social network. Additionally, the profile generation module can determine an employer based on the accessed employment data. Furthermore, the profile generation module can verify that the determined company does not have an existing entity profile in the social network. Moreover, the profile generation module can authenticate the verified employer based on member data from the social network. Subsequently, the profile generation module can generate and post the entity profile on the social network.

Abstract: Mobile application reviewing is provided. An interaction, made by a user of a wearable device is identified. One or more facial expression data is received. A screenshot of a mobile application on a mobile device is captured. A user sentiment, corresponding to the screenshot, is determined, wherein the sentiment is based on the facial expression data. A mobile application rating corresponding to the user is determined wherein the mobile application rating is based on one or more screenshot ratings corresponding to the user.

Abstract: The present invention builds Home Data Index (HDI) models. One driving force behind this HDI initiative is that no one model or measure can truly capture the widely dynamic movement of home prices. Even within a small geographical area, such as a ZIP code, there is significant variation in property sale types, sale frequencies and sale values. To better describe these variations, the present invention presents a suite of paired sales and price per square foot index models built around an array of property transaction characteristics. These HDI models expand on the usage and understanding of traditional home price indices (HPIs) by implementing a multidimensional index comprised of four main dimensions: geography; time frames; value range; and property sales type. Several layers exist within each dimension, allowing for more than 300 different index model perspectives for a given property address.
