  • Patent number: 11727453
Abstract: A clock data structure is introduced. An instance of the clock data structure can be attached to a billing data structure, such as a billing data structure that corresponds to a recurring payment. The instance of the clock data structure has a value that represents a frozen time—i.e., a specific time that does not change unless instructed to. The billing data structures to which the clock data structure is attached operate as if the real time is the frozen time on the clock. Since the time is frozen, users wishing to test the billing data structure can update their system configurations at specific times, and subsequently advance the time in the clock data structure instance to see the effects on those configurations, as well as on other parts of the system, including asynchronous messaging and processing, and processes that involve other entities.

  • Patent number: 11594325
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide various examples of automatically processing surgical videos to detect surgical tools and tool-related events, and extract surgical-tool usage information. In one aspect, a process for automatically tracking usages of robotic surgery tools is disclosed. This process can begin by receiving a surgical video captured during a robotic surgery. The process then processes the surgical video to detect a surgical tool in the surgical video. Next, the process determines whether the detected surgical tool has been engaged in the robotic surgery. If so, the process further determines whether the detected surgical tool is engaged for a first time in the robotic surgery. If the detected surgical tool is engaged for the first time, the process subsequently increments a total-engagement count of the detected surgical tool. Otherwise, the process continues monitoring the detected surgical tool in the surgical video.

  • Patent number: 11587031
Abstract: A management device includes a distance sensor, a sensor interface, and a processor. The distance sensor is configured to measure a distance between a predetermined position and a backmost side of a commodity line having commodities biased in an arrangement direction and supported from a foremost side of the commodity line. The sensor interface transmits and receives data to and from the distance sensor. The processor calculates a length of the commodity line based on the distance before a change in the distance and the distance after the change in the distance when the distance is changed, and determines whether the length of the commodity line matches a thickness of the commodity indicated by shelf label information. The processor calculates the increased or decreased number of commodities based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 11574353
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein are relevant to systems, methods, and other technology for determining furniture compatibility. For example, graph neural networks (GNNs) that leverage relational information between furniture items in a set may be used as models to predict a compatibility score indicative of visual compatibility of furniture items across the set. In one implementation, the GNN-based model can extend the concept of a siamese network to multiple inputs and branches and use a generalized contrastive loss function. In another implementation, the GNN-based model learns both an edge function and the function that generates the compatibility score. The predicted compatibility score can be used for a variety of purposes, including furniture item recommendations.
