Abstract: The subject matter of the present disclosure includes agents for lightening keratin fibers, more particularly human hair, containing in a cosmetic carrier: (a) at least one carboxylic acid ester of the formula (I) (b) at least one peroxide compound, and (c) water, wherein the agent has a pH value in the range of from about 7.5 to about 12.5. A further subject matter of the present disclosure includes a kit-of-parts in which the aforementioned components exist packed separately in two agents (A) and (B).
