Abstract: According to at least one aspect of the present invention, a system for automatically generating a data-center network mapping for automated alarm consolidation is provided comprising a plurality of devices, and at least one computing device communicatively coupled to each of the devices, the at least one computing device being configured to receive operational data from each of the devices, the operational data being indicative of at least one of a power path, cooling or temperature zones, or communications paths, determine, based on the operational data, device relationships between each of the devices, receive, from each of the devices, a respective alarm of a plurality of alarms, determine alarm relationships between at least two of the plurality of alarms, consolidate, based on the determined device relationships and based on the determined alarm relationships, the plurality of alarms into a consolidated alert, and provide the consolidated alert to a user.

Abstract: A proximity policy associated with an electronic message. e.g., an email, can be used to identify prohibited nodes in a social network data structure. The prohibited nodes are of users that are to not receive the electronic message. A graphical user interface element can be used to select a value from a range of values, where the value identifies nodes in the social network as the prohibited nodes.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. For each entity, the method (1) identifies a set of public cloud datacenters of one or more public cloud providers to connect a set of machines of the entity, (2) deploys managed forwarding nodes (MFNs) for the entity in the identified set of public cloud datacenters, and then (3) configures the MFNs to implement a virtual network that connects the entity's set of machines across its identified set of public cloud datacenters. In some embodiments, the method identifies the set of public cloud datacenters for an entity by receiving input from the entity's network administrator. In some embodiments, this input specifies the public cloud providers to use and/or the public cloud regions in which the virtual network should be defined. Conjunctively, or alternatively, this input in some embodiments specifies actual public cloud datacenters to use.

Abstract: The innovation disclosed and claimed herein, in one aspect thereof, comprises systems and methods of determining network segmentation. The innovation can search a network to determine a set of network entities, the network entities belonging to the network, and determine network factors of each network entity in the set of network entities. The innovation can evaluate each network factor and determine segmentation candidates based on the evaluation of each network factor. The innovation can determine a risk ranking for each network factor for each network entity and aggregate each risk ranking into a segmentation score for each network entity. The innovation can determine a segmentation candidate when a network entity segmentation score satisfies a threshold score. The innovation can generate a sub-network that is part of the network for the segmentation candidate, and transfer the segmentation candidate to the sub-network.

Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing device having a processor coupled to a memory configured to implement a plurality of virtual computing resources including a first subset providing a management network, a second subset providing partner zones, and a third subset providing customer service enclaves. The management network is configured to provision and control communication between partner zones and customer service enclaves. A given partner zone associated with a given partner is configured to provision partner-controlled services of the given partner to customer environments via the customer service enclaves. A given customer service enclave associated with a given customer is configured to activate the given partner for a given customer environment associated with the given customer to enable provisioning of the partner-controlled services of the given partner from the given partner zone to the given customer environment.

One example of operation may include exchanging at least one interface address and at least one globally unique identifier between the at least two endpoint devices. The method may also provide retrieving a last successful connection setup information based on the at least one globally unique identifier and the at least one interface address, assigning at least one port number to the at least one interface address via at least one of the two endpoint devices, exchanging at least one rendezvous message between the at least two endpoint devices to share connection setup information, and storing at least one of the at least one interface address, that at least one globally unique identifier, the last successful connection setup information, and the at least one port number in a cache file.

The file transfer metadata is used to generate a file transfer monitoring criterion that is associated with selectively monitoring the file transfer activity between the first network entity and the second network entity. Service level criteria associated with the file transfer event is automatically updated based on the file transfer monitoring criterion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, systems and computer program products for enhancing use of application services controlled by user-specific timing intervals. The current invention addresses these problems in a novel fashion by monitoring context of the user to determine a best time to notify the user of the coming expiry of his or her user-specific timing interval.

Abstract: Techniques for using traceroute with tunnels and cloud-based systems for determining measures of network performance are presented. Systems and methods include receiving a request, from a client, for one or more of a first trace of a tunnel and a second trace to a destination; checking a cache at the node for results from previous traces of the first trace and the second trace; responsive to the results not being in the cache, performing one or more of the first trace and the second trace; and providing the results to the client so that the client aggregates the results with details from one or more additional legs to provide an overall view of a service path between the client and the destination.

A set of display devices that are associated with the speech-enabled device may be identified in response to determining to pair the speech-enabled device with the display device of the particular type. An instruction may be provided to each of the display devices. The instruction may cause the display device to determine (i) whether the display device is of the particular type and (ii) whether the display device and the speech-enabled device both share a local area network and display on the display device an indication regarding pairing with the speech-enabled device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are contemplated for reconfiguration of one or more MAC instances while the WTRU is operating using dual- or multi-MAC instance connectivity. For example, upon reception of RRC reconfiguration information that modifies one or more secondary MAC instances, the WTRU may transmit a reconfiguration complete message to a Macro eNB (MeNB) and may synchronize to small-cell or secondary eNB (SeNB), for example if triggered by one or more of an RRC flag, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order (MeNB/SeNB), MAC activation information, etc. For example, the WTRU may synchronize to the SeNB for specific type(s) of RRC reconfigurations, but not other type(s) of RRC reconfigurations. The method for managing a hardware resource includes receiving, by a virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM), a hardware resource allocation request message sent by a VNF management entity, where the hardware resource allocation request message is used to request the VIM to allocate a hardware resource to a virtual machine that runs a VNFC, and the hardware resource allocation request message includes location information of the hardware resource that the virtual machine requests to allocate.
