Abstract: A system and method for communication in an online electronic chat environment having multiple communication devices connected to each other in a communication network is provided. Displayed on a display screen of an electronic communication device of the multiple communication devices, is a chat region configured to hold text, and a graphics region to hold graphic objects. The chat region and the graphics region are positioned on a common electronic canvas of the display screen. Text from the chat region can be moved to the graphics region, and graphic objects in the graphics region may be moved to the chat region. The design allows for the mixing of chat and graphics in a common window when material is moved between the two modalities. In additional embodiments, the text in the chat region and the graphics in the graphics region are synchronized whereby movement of one causes action in the other.

Abstract: Disclosed are a mobile terminal capable of executing web browsing with consideration of a user's convenience, and a control method thereof. The mobile terminal comprises: a wireless communication unit which accesses any web page; a display module for displaying the accessed web page; and a controller for automatically displaying popup windows in a virtual space when the accessed web page has any popup windows. Popup windows can be hidden at the time of web browsing, and the hidden popup windows can be displayed according to a user's necessity. This enhances the user's convenience.

Abstract: A scroll bar area is displayed as two divided areas, namely a first mark display area which displays a mark figure corresponding to a first mark, and a second mark display area which displays a mark figure corresponding to a second mark. A first mark figure is displayed in that area in the first mark display area which corresponds to a line which is indicated to be affixed with the first mark by mark affixing information. A second mark figure is displayed in that area in the second mark display area which corresponds to a line which is indicated to be affixed with the second mark by the mark affixing information.

Abstract: A layout can identify placement of a plurality of content units of a document across one or more pages with each page representing a display area for displaying the content of the document. A scrollbar definition can be generated so as to identify a plurality of equally-sized segments of a scrollbar track, with each segment corresponding to a respective one of the pages of the document. The definition can identify a scrollbar thumb having a body that fills a segment. A scrollbar can be rendered based on the definition. The scrollbar definition can be updated to identify a different number of segments of the scrollbar based on a new number of pages in a new layout generated in response to a change in the size of the display area.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus that receives data from a plurality of external devices connected via a network and displays an operation window based on a content of the data includes a reception unit that receives a plurality of pieces of data transmitted from the plurality of external devices, an analysis unit that analyzes the received data and identifies a first constituent portion common to the respective data and a second constituent portion not included in the first constituent portion, and a display unit that displays information included in the first constituent portion in a common display area of an operation window, and displays information included in the second constituent portion in an individual display area of the operation window.
