Abstract: Focus-assisted intelligent personal assistant query response determination is provided. A query submitted by an individual to an intelligent personal assistant is obtained and a direction of focus of the individual at a time the individual submits the query to the intelligent personal assistant is identified. Image(s) of an environment in the direction of focus of the individual are obtained and, based at least in part on the direction of focus, a geographic area to which the query applies is determined. A response to the query is determined at least in part by searching user-generated content associated with the geographic area. The response is validated against the captured image(s) of the environment, and the query is responded to by providing the determined response.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an evaluation tool for evaluating functionality and performance of applications are provided herein. The systems and methods described herein provide mechanisms for, among other things, providing contextualized evaluations of applications by tracking interactions with the evaluation tool, receiving evaluation criteria for assessing the application, and capturing rendered displays during an evaluation session.

Abstract: An exemplary communication session management system concurrently presents a plurality of session icons within a single on-screen user interface, each session icon representative of a respective communication session and configured to visually indicate a session status of the respective communication session. The communication session management system further detects a user action performed by a user with respect to one of the plurality of session icons, modifies a communication session in response to the user action, and graphically indicates the modification of the session status of the communication session. Corresponding systems and methods are also described.

Abstract: A user device receives a plurality of content items that include a plurality of videos for presentation to a user of the user device, and renders a user interface on the user device. The user interface includes a first video of the plurality of content items that is being played concurrently with a second video of the plurality of videos. The second video is playing while being partially visible in the user interface.

Abstract: A system for generating and providing an inline resharing interface and sharing content includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the system to provide items of content for presentation; receive input identifying a selected item from the items of content; generate an inline sharing interface corresponding to the selected item, the inline sharing interface including a portion of original content from the selected item, an comment area, and an addressee area; and provide the inline sharing interface for presentation in place of the selected item.

Abstract: A method of launching a software program or application is provided for use with a graphical user interface (GUI) display. One portion of the GUI display includes a taskbar while a second portion is divided into a plurality of windows. To launch one of the programs/applications represented by the icons within the taskbar, the user first selects the icon representing the icon to be launched. Once an icon is selected, a visual cue is displayed, where the visual cue includes a plurality of mini-windows representing the plurality of display windows. When the user drags the selected icon into one of the mini-windows and then releases the icon, the selected program/application is launched in the window that corresponds to the selected mini-window.

Abstract: An icon associated with content (e.g., webpage content) is created on a mobile device. In one implementation, the content is displayed on the mobile device and an indication is received to create an icon associated with the content. All or a portion of the content is rendered into the icon, and the icon is displayed on a user interface of the mobile device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for configuring customizations to legacy tasks as part of modernizing such tasks are provided. Example embodiments of an RBMS provide tiered configuration so that end users can be provided with tools with which they can further modernize legacy tasks in ways that do not tamper with the integrity of the system. For example, in one embodiment at least two configuration levels are available: (1) an administrator level that can control and configure aspects of the RBMS such as the legacy and non-legacy tasks associated with a particular role and defining what tools will be provided to the end user level and (2) an end user level. Example embodiments provide a Role-Based Modernization System (“RBMS”), which uses these enhanced modernization techniques to provide role-based modernization of menu-based legacy applications.

Abstract: A computer implemented method is configured to remotely access a desktop hosted by a server system. The method displays a local view of a remote desktop hosted by a server system based on information received from the server system where the remote desktop includes a first object. The method then detects user input indicating a request to move the first object. In response to the request, the method generates a second object to represent the first object. The second object is generated to correspond to the visual appearance of the object. The method then presents the second object on the local view of the remote desktop. The second object may overlay the first object. The second object is then moved to a destination on the local view of the desktop according to the request. Once the move has concluded, the method transmits the destination to the server system.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a device displays content on a touch screen display and detects input by finger gestures. In response to the finger gestures, the device selects content, visually distinguishes the selected content, and/or updates the selected content based on detected input. In some embodiments, the device displays a command display area that includes one or more command icons; detects activation of a command icon in the command display area; and, in response to detecting activation of the command icon in the command display area, performs a corresponding action with respect to the selected content. Activating the hypermedia object enables the entry of at least one additional user-adjustable input value for use by the associated application.
