Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe an application command control user interface menu to facilitate user interaction between a user and a mobile application. On a processing device, a mobile application is launched where the mobile application comprises an application command control user interface menu displayable within a defined display space of the mobile application. The application control user interface menu is displayed within the defined display space. A tab comprises one or more user interface elements for application command control. Input is received for selection of a tab of the application control user interface menu. In response to the received input, display of the application command control user interface menu is modified to display one or more tabs within the defined display space. Other examples are also described.

Abstract: A method for providing a user interface in a vehicle, wherein information that is structured in lists can be displayed, and wherein a list includes list entries and the list entries include elements. At least one subset of the list is displayed on a display surface so that list entries extend on the display surface in a first direction, and at least one subset of elements of this one list entry are displayed so that the elements extend on the display surface in a second direction that differs from the first direction.

The usage region may provide comments and/or recommendations based on the learnings from analysis of offset wells.

Abstract: A method, system and computer readable medium for remote control of a remote device by a remote dashboard console of a client device. The method includes identifying the remote device for management via the remote dashboard console of the client device. The remote dashboard console receives a set of plug-ins associated with multiple remote device applications installed on the remote device from a remote dashboard agent of the remote device. The remote dashboard console of the client device executes a target application of the multiple remote device applications device using a corresponding plug-in of the set of plug-ins.

Abstract: A method for scrolling through a representation of data that is too large to be presented legibly in its entirety within confines of a display is disclosed. The method includes presenting a section of the representation on the display. A portion of the representation is selected, using the section presented on the display, for scrolling on. The presentation of the section presented on the display is modified to include additional representation based on the portion selected. The additional content is to be presented in a non-linear fashion. Input from a user interface associated with movement through the additional content is received. The movement is to provide non-linear scrolling through the additional content. Apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and system comprising an adaptive learning platform having a backend component for managing 3D lessons for display on an interface of a user device. A 3D lesson comprises a plurality of scenarios with choices which lead to a next scenario of the 3D lesson. A learner after completing the 3D lesson can analyze results of a completed 3D lesson using an analyzer unit of the adaptive learning platform. In addition, the platform also recommends other 3D lessons based on analytics performed on the learner user's results.

Abstract: Control of a computing device using gesture inputs. The computing device may be a handheld computing device with a plurality of displays. The displays may be capable of displaying a graphical user interface (GUI). The plurality of displays may be modified in response to receipt of a gesture input such that the displays are changed from a first state to a second state. The change of the displays from the first state to the second state may include moving a GUI from a first display to a second display. Additionally, a second GUI may be moved from the second display to the first display. The gesture input may comprise multiple touches, such as a pinch gesture.

Abstract: A process builds a view of a dataset. The process displays a graphical user interface, including: a fields region; a visualization region; and a shelf region that includes multiple shelves. The process detects user input that moves a data field icon from the fields region into the visualization region. Upon ceasing to detect the user input, the process associates the data field icon with a first shelf according to its characteristics and characteristics corresponding to other data field icons, if any, previously associated with the shelves. The method further includes: (i) determining one or more chart types for visualizing a portion of the dataset based, at least in part, on the data field icon and its characteristics, and (ii) generating a graphical representation of the portion of the dataset in the visualization region using a first chart type selected from the one or more determined chart types.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and apparatuses for text entry that exploit mathematical mappings of symbol strings of arbitrary length onto finite-sized geometric regions. Embodiments of the invention enable input of text into devices with pan/zoom capabilities. An embodiment enables text entry for small hand-held devices such as smart-phones and tablets, comprising multi-touch capabilities.

Abstract: A method and associated system for using a graphical user interface (GUI) to add new members to groups associated with events. A calendar record window, including an updated list of members of a first group of members invited to a first event, is displayed. The updated list consists of a list of initial members of the first group invited to the first event and a new member of the first group. A first record including the initial members is updated to add the new member to the initial members on the first record. In response to updating the first record, a change control window, which provides a user with a capability to add the new member to other groups of members invited to respective other events, is displayed on the GUI simultaneous with displaying the updated calendar record window on the GUI.

Abstract: A selection of a user interface artifact from a set of one or more user interface artifacts associated with a first user interface to an enterprise content management system is received. A selection of a user interface aspect from a set of one or more user interface aspects is received. Each user interface aspect in the set of user interface aspects is capable of modifying at least one user interface artifact from the set of user interface artifact. A second user interface to the enterprise content management system is generated using the selected user interface artifact and the selected user interface aspect where the selected user interface artifact in the second user interface is implemented per the selected user interface aspect.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for providing navigation in a hierarchical data set are presented. In some embodiments, a computing device may generate a user interface including a first node as a focused node at a fixed focal point along with a subset of a first plurality of related nodes having a relationship with the first node. In some instances discussed herein, user input may be received selecting a second node as the focused node, such as a scrolling action dragging the second node to the fixed focal point. The user interface may be updated to display a subset of a second plurality of related nodes having a relationship with the second node. In some arrangements, the hierarchical data set may correspond to an organizational chart, a workflow, a directory structure, a categorized list, a taxonomy, or any other type of hierarchical data.

Abstract: A predetermined touch action is performed by a user at a location on a touch-sensitive screen. The location is registered and associated with presentation content. If at least the first condition that the associated presentation content includes at least one portion of an uninterrupted character unit is satisfied, then at least one first selection menu is presented. The menu items from the first selection menu provide a selection option between the uninterrupted character unit and at least one second unit of text associated with the uninterrupted character unit as at least one element from the group includes a sentence and paragraph. Selection of a first menu item involves the uninterrupted character unit, and selection of a second menu item involves the second unit of text, being selected as the section of text to be selected.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provides for changing a window stack for a multi-screen device. The window stack can change based on the movement of a window. The system can receive a gesture indicating a change in the position of a window in the device. Upon receiving the gesture, the system determines a new position in the window stack for the moved window. Then, the system can determine a display associated with the moved window and change the logic data structure associated with the moved window to describe the new position of the moved window in the window stack.

Abstract: The present disclosure, pertaining to the field of information processing technologies, discloses a method, apparatus, and terminal for screen flipping. The method includes: detecting a screen touch action of a user, and after the screen touch action of the user is detected, determining a position area corresponding to the screen touch action; and performing screen flipping according to the determined position area and a corresponding relationship between the position area and a screen flipping operation. The apparatus for screen flipping includes a detecting module, a determining module, and a screen-flipping module. The terminal includes the apparatus for screen flipping. According to the present disclosure, a position area corresponding to a detected screen touch action of a user is determined, and screen flipping is performed according to the position area and a corresponding relationship between the position area and a screen flipping operation thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for surfacing anomalous network activity on a user interface. An example method provides, for presentation on a user device, a user interface for analyzing network traffic from a customer network. The user interface is populated with network traffic data from the customer network for display to the user. An interactive first filter that is configurable for filtering network traffic based on prevalence of the destination domains of the network traffic is displayed to the user. A first user input configuring the first filter to a first prevalence value is received. In response, the network traffic data is filtered in the user interface to only include network traffic data that has a destination domain that is less prevalent than the first prevalence value.

Abstract: In one embodiment, in accordance with the present invention, a method, computer program product, and system for performing actions based on captured interpersonal interactions during a meeting is provided. One or more computer processors capture the interpersonal interactions between people in a physical space during a period of time, using machine learning algorithms to detect the interpersonal interactions and a state of each person based on vision and audio sensors in the physical space. The one or more computer processors analyze and categorize the interactions and state of each person, and tag representations of each person with the respectively analyzed and categorized interactions and states of the respective person over the period of time. The one or more computer processors then take an action based on the analysis.
