  • Patent number: 10236944
Abstract: One or more communication channels may be setup for communicating between a first transceiver from a plurality of transceivers in a transportation object and a network transceiver of a communication network that is in proximity to the transportation object. Channel related data may be determined for the first transceiver; and the determined channel related data may be determined to a second transceiver that is determined to come within communication range of the network transceiver due to movement of the transportation object. The channel related data may then be used for communicating via the one or more communication channels with the second transceiver. Cooperative communication schemes may be used when communication via the one or more communication channels. The cooperative communication schemes may comprise use of one or both of spatial diversity and spatial multiplexing.

  • Patent number: 10187302
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for translating source addresses in an overlay network. An access switch in an overlay network, such as a VXLAN, may receive an encapsulated packet from a tunnel endpoint in the overlay network. The encapsulated packet may originate from a host associated with the tunnel endpoint and be encapsulated at the tunnel endpoint with a first source tunnel endpoint address and a destination tunnel endpoint address. The access switch may replace the first source tunnel endpoint address in the encapsulated packet with a second source tunnel endpoint address of the access switch to yield a translated packet. The access switch may then transmit the translated packet towards the destination tunnel endpoint address.

  • Patent number: 10177822
Abstract: In examples, Radio Frequency nodes of an array are synchronized using Time-Reversal. A Master node (“Master”) of the array receives and captures a sounding signal emitted by a Slave node (“Slave”) of the array, downconverts it to baseband, Time-Reverses the downconverted signal, upconverts the Time-Reversed signal to the carrier frequency using the Master's clock so that the upconverted signal has phase property of the Master's clock, and transmits the resulting signal to the Slave. The Slave receives the signal from the Master, and adjusts the phase of the Slave's clock so that the phases of the two nodes are aligned. Once phases, frequencies, and time references of the array's nodes are aligned, the array may be used for coherent operation. In examples, the array is used to transmit Time-Reversed signals so that the signals from the array's nodes are spatially and temporally focused on a target.

  • Patent number: 10171303
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a switch. The switch includes a logical channel apparatus and a tunnel apparatus. The logical channel apparatus associates a logical channel identifier of a logical channel with the switch and assigns an Internet Protocol (IP) address as switch identifier of the switch. The logical channel includes a plurality of member switches and the switch is a member switch of the logical channel. The IP address uniquely identifies the switch in the logical channel. The tunnel apparatus establishes a tunnel with a remote switch in the logical channel. An inter-switch packet from the switch is encapsulated in a tunnel header associated with the tunnel.

  • Patent number: 10116559
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for OAM in overlay networks. In response to receiving a packet associated with an OAM operation from a device in an overlay network, the system generates an OAM packet. The system can be coupled with the overlay network and can include a tunnel endpoint interface associated with an underlay address and a virtual interface associated with an overlay address. The overlay address can be an anycast address assigned to the system and another device in the overlay network. Next, the system determines that a destination address associated with the packet is not reachable through the virtual interface, the destination address corresponding to a destination node in the overlay network. The system also determines that the destination address is reachable through the tunnel endpoint interface. The system then provides the underlay address associated with the tunnel endpoint interface as a source address in the OAM packet.
