Abstract: A secondary device receives presence information for a content item that is synchronized by a content management system with the secondary device and with a primary device. If a user of the primary device is present as indicated by the presence information, a collaboration element is displayed on the secondary device. Responsive to a user input at the collaboration element, a collaboration request is sent to the primary device, and collaboration information enabling collaborative interaction with an instance of the content item on the primary device is received.

Abstract: A program guide, such as an electronic program guide (EPG), may be used to display information regarding upcoming scheduled transmissions of content. The display may include thumbnail images for selected groups of programs, and the images may be positioned in a pseudo-random location, and moved along a randomly generated trajectory on the display.

The detector detects touches at two positions on the display screen and touched positions thereof. The controller displays a distance and azimuths between the touched positions, based on the two touched positions that are detected by the detector and either one of coordinates on the image corresponding to the touched positions and information associated with the coordinates (positional information).

The dashboard creation system includes: a business database comprising a plurality of business values; an intermediate table comprising intermediate data; and at least one KPI record. In some implementations, the intermediate data includes: an intermediate value corresponding to a selected plurality of the business values; and an intermediate link identifying the corresponding selected plurality of business values. Also, the KPI record may include: a KPI value corresponding to the intermediate value; a KPI link corresponding to the intermediate link and identifying the corresponding selected plurality of the business values; and a KPI format corresponding to a desired graphical format for depicting the KPI value. Also, if a key for adjusting the number of thumbnails displayed on a screen is input, the number of thumbnails displayed and the arrangement of the thumbnails are adjusted in accordance with the input of the adjustment key. In this case, a playback of the moving image corresponding to the thumbnail on which the indicator is positioned is maintained without interruption, and only the arrangement of the remaining thumbnail is changed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a digital photo book creation and management system based on a client-server technology, wherein the client device comprises a touch screen. The system comprises receiving one or more source (or virtual location) of one or more images, via a client user interface and downloading one or more images from the source into the server and client databases. Further, the metadata is extracted from the downloaded images or from the source of the images and stored within the server and client databases. Further, the downloaded images are rated using gesture recognition and the rating is saved as photo's metadata. The images are compiled into a digital photo book that can be edited from the client device based on a criteria performed on the photo's metadata. Further, the compiled digital photo book can be shared with users within the network and can be signed by the visiting users.

Abstract: In response to receiving a first user action in relation to an object displayed on the rendered display, a collar is displayed on the rendered display around the object. The collar and the object can be made translucent. The collar can have the same shape as the object, but can be larger in size than the object. In response to receiving a second user action in relation to the collar, the object and the collar are moved on the rendered display in correspondence with the second user action, without finalizing a current location of the object on the rendered display after the second user action has been completed. In response to receiving a third user action, the current location of the object is finalized on the rendered display and the collar is removed from around the object on the rendered display.

Abstract: System, methods, and user interface for managing emails and other message communications are disclosed as solutions for reducing confusion and avoiding mistakes in communications when replying to a message with multiple recipients. The mode of replying either to the sender only or to multiple recipients is first detected, and notifications and user interface objects are displayed to help the user to make sure the message is sent to the intended recipient, and to easily correct a mistake and switch the mode of reply for enhanced productivity. The notification can be displayed based on the user actions or based on the results of a text analysis of the content of the message.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a first row in a multitasking user interface that includes a plurality of representations of open applications. The device concurrently displays a second row that is spaced apart from the first row and includes application icons for the open applications. While concurrently displaying the first row and the second row, the device detects a first input that corresponds to movement in a second direction. In response, the device moves the respective representation out of the first row in the second direction in accordance with a progression of the first input without moving the application icon for the respective application in the second direction. When application-close criteria have been met for the respective application by the first input, the device closes the respective application, ceases to display the respective representation in the first row and ceases to display the application icon in the second row.

Abstract: In a synchronization system, the present invention provides an improved user interface through which a user can view and manage settings associated with the user's account in the synchronization system. In the preferred embodiment, a column is displayed for each electronic device associated with the user's account in the synchronization system. In each column is a visual representation of items (e.g., folders) that are (1) backed up, remotely accessible and/or synchronized in the synchronization system and (2) located on the electronic device associated with such column. For each item that is synchronized across multiple devices, all the visual representations of such item in the columns are aligned across a single row in the interface. In the preferred embodiment, there is an arrow, or other visual indicator, between the visual representations of such items to indicate that the items are synchronized.

The sponsored story specifications include a visual specification for the sponsored story, and matched sponsored stories are ranked for a viewing user. Users can set privacy preferences related to sponsored stories. The ranking and privacy settings contribute to which sponsored stories are provided for display to the viewing user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for translating events in a high definition video playback system are disclosed. A disc viewer is configured to read at least one user interactive program on a high definition optical disc defining an original menu of a user interface. The user interface defines a plurality of event handlers for user interaction with the user interface. An express menu renderer is configured to generate a menu populated with a plurality of selectable elements that are responsive to interaction with a mouse and/or pointing device. The selectable elements correspond to user interactive features of the user interface and have a corresponding visual identifier.
