Abstract: Techniques for monitoring and analysis of interactions between network endpoints are disclosed. In some embodiments, a process for monitoring and analysis of interactions between network endpoints includes collecting Domain Name System (DNS) response data from a network device; determining network endpoint interactions based on an analysis of the DNS response data (e.g., using a processor); and generating a graph corresponding to the network endpoint interactions. For example, the network device can include a DNS device and/or a software-defined networking (SDN) device (e.g., an SDN switch, such as an OpenFlow switch).

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of embedding finer grained information such as user identity and application identity in IPv6 addresses used for end-to-end communications within a network. The finer grained information can be used for improved policy enforcement within the network. In one aspect, generating an address for an end-to-end communication within a network, the address including a user identifier and an application identifier for network policy enforcement; assigning the address to an application used in the end-to-end communication; and performing network segmentation and the network policy enforcement within the network using the address.

Abstract: Secure cloud-based storage system management that includes: establishing, within a cloud-based services provider and based on one or more user credentials, a cloud-based user session to execute one or more commands on a remote storage system that includes physical storage devices; determining one or more data storage operations corresponding to the physical storage devices to implement the one or more commands on the storage system; and extending, based on using an access token based on the one or more user credentials to securely issue the one or more data storage operations to the remote storage system, the cloud-based user session to the remote storage system.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for dynamic edge content personalization are described herein. A request for a webpage may be received from a content delivery network for a user. Callback instructions may be generated for a user fragment and a webpage fragment. The webpage may be configured using a webpage template. A set of personalized content fragments may be received that correspond to the webpage template. A personalized content fragment may be selected for the user from the set of personalized content fragments using the callback instructions for the user fragment. The personalized content fragment may be transmitted to the content delivery network. The content delivery network may use the personalized content fragment and callback instructions for the webpage to render and deliver the webpage to the user.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for sharing collected web content are provided. A collection of web content may be maintained, wherein the collection of web content is divided into a plurality of sections, each of the plurality of sections comprising a subset of web content from a different webpage, and wherein a first user has administrative rights associated with the collection of web content. An indication to provide a second user with access to the collection of web content may be received from the first user. The second user may be provided with access to the collection of web content.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for automatic configuration of a computing device in a content-centric network (CCN). During operation, the system sends, by the computing device on at least one of the computing device's faces, an interest in configuration information. The interest has a predetermined name prefix. The system then receives a content object in response to the interest. The content object includes at least a default name prefix, to which the computing device can send other interests. The system further configures the computing device based on the received content object.

Abstract: A management server and method for performing resource management operations in a distributed computer system takes into account information regarding multi-processor memory architectures of host computers of the distributed computer system, including information regarding Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) architectures of at least some of the host computers, to make a placement recommendation to place a client in one of the host computers.

Abstract: Techniques are described that allow a user to control and/or restrict dissemination of content by other users related to an account of the user. For example, a request may be received, from a first user account, to restrict presentation of content having a characteristic and received from a second user account. An item of content having the characteristic may be received from the second user account. A first instruction to present a first representation of the item of content is sent to a first computing device associated with the first user account and based at least in part on the request to restrict presentation. A second instruction to present a second representation of the item of content is sent to a second computing device associated with the second user account, the second representation of the item of content being different than the first representation of the item of content.

Additionally, a first configuration change is determined of a first communication network based on the first load change of the first communication network. A first tag record is created of the first communication network based on the first load change of the first communication network and the first configuration change of the first communication network. The first tag record of the first communication network is communicated to a second communication network.

Abstract: Systems, methods, computer-readable media, and devices are disclosed for collecting access point telemetry. A first access point is identified that is associated with a single instance on a pod. A hash identifier is identified, where the hash identifier identifies a radio frequency (RF) neighborhood of the first access point based on a geographical location of the first access point. Subsequent access point members of the RF neighborhood are dynamically determined by dynamically assigning a second access point to the RF neighborhood, the dynamic assignment based on the second access point being within a threshold geographical location to the first access point. Telemetry from the second access point is directed towards the single instance on the pod, where the pod receives telemetry for all access points in the dynamically determined RF neighborhood.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for implementing direct memory access in a virtualized computing environment. A new mapping of interfaces between RNIC Consumer and RDMA Transport is defined, which enables efficient retry, a zombie detection mechanism, and identification and handling of invalid requests without bringing down the RDMA connection. Techniques are disclosed for out of order placement and delivery of ULP Requests without constraining the RNIC Consumer to the ordered networking behavior, if it is not required for the ULP (e.g., storage). This allows efficient deployment of an RDMA accelerated storage workload in a lossy network configuration, and reduction in latency jitter.

Abstract: A network device may receive multi-access edge computing (MEC) proximity service information that identifies a set of MEC devices and a set of network services supported by respective MEC devices of the set of MEC devices. The network device may transmit, to a base station, at least a portion of the MEC proximity service information for broadcasting by the base station. The network device may receive, from a user device, a request to establish a peer-to-peer connection with a MEC device for the network service. The network device may authenticate the user device for access to the network service. The network device may transmit, to the user device and the MEC device, connection information that enables the user device and the MEC device to establish the peer-to-peer connection, based on authenticating the user device for access to the network service.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes selecting a group of transactions having a common end-to-end transaction path comprising a plurality of transaction-path nodes. Each transaction of the group is associated with either an acceptable category or an unacceptable category based, at least in part, on an end-to-end response time for the transaction. The method further includes separately determining, for each transaction-path node, an execution-time pair. The execution-time pair includes first aggregate information indicative of execution time by the transaction-path node for transactions associated with the acceptable category. The execution-time pair also includes second aggregate information indicative of execution time by the transaction-path node for transactions associated with the unacceptable category. Additionally, the method includes generating a visualization of the end-to-end transaction path.

Abstract: A method, implemented in a communication device, of indicating a service supported by the communication device. A hash value is generated, using a hash function, based on a service identifier associated with the service. Respective portions of the hash value are mapped to respective bit locations in a bit string that represents membership of the service in a set of services supported by the communication device. The bit string is generated at least by setting the bit locations in the bit string to values that indicate that the service is supported by the communication device.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a lifecycle management service is provided. A network device of an application service network may use the number of requests from end devices as a basis to determine whether to terminate a virtual network device. The network device may compare the number of requests to management information that includes a threshold number of requests value. The network device may also instantiate a virtual network device based on receipt of a domain name system request and radio network information.

Abstract: A method for dynamically allocating upload bandwidth to consumer nodes by a resource node that are communicatively connected by a channel-swarm in a peer-to-peer network. The method comprises periodically computing a dynamic quota value to determine a number of acceptable connections between the resource node and one or more of the consumer nodes connected by the channel-swarm; and allocating an available upload bandwidth to the one or more of the consumer nodes in the channel-swarm based on the computed dynamic quota value.
