  • Patent number: 10717613
Abstract: In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, systems and methods for sequencing portable containers of bulk material to provide continuous bulk material usage at an outlet are provided. The disclosed sequencing techniques may involve identifying a sequence for opening different portable containers of bulk material (or identifying the “next” portable container to open) and automatically actuating the discharge gates of the portable containers in the desired sequence to provide a continuous flow of bulk material to the outlet (e.g., blender unit). The identified sequence may be executed through a control system communicatively coupled to actuators used to open/close the discharge gates of the portable bulk material containers. A GUI may be communicatively coupled to the control system to allow an operator to select the desired sequence for execution by the control system and to display information regarding the portable bulk material containers.

  • Patent number: 10661946
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices to improve pouring large or unwieldy containers are disclosed. A band couples about or proximal to a rim of a container. In some embodiments, bands are sized and dimensioned to rigidly fit containers with specific shapes and dimensions, though universal or nearly universal bands that flexibly conform to the shape of any container are further contemplated. The band secures a spout portion to a pouring edge of the container. The spout portion includes a shelf extending from the pouring edge and bounded by two side walls having splash guards. The side walls and splash guards serve to funnel food stuffs or liquids towards a receptacle when the container is tipped toward the pouring edge. The spout region further includes an overflow shelf to prevent food stuffs or liquids from spilling out of the container by accident or during rapid pouring. A handle can be further attached to the band to aid a user in lifting and pouring the container.

  • Patent number: 10654702
Abstract: A beverage dispensing machine includes a valve body configured to receive a first fluid and a second fluid and dispense the first fluid through a first orifice and the second fluid through a second orifice. A first valve seal is movable to open and close the first orifice, and a second valve seal is movable to open and close the second orifice. An arm is pivotally coupled to the valve body, and pivoting of the arm relative to the valve body moves the first valve seal and the second valve seal and thereby opens the first orifice and the second orifice. The machine also includes a solenoid valve configured to pivot the arm, and a handle with a leg that is pivotable into and between a rest position in which the valve seals are closed and an active position in which the valve seals are open. As the handle moves from the rest position to the active position, the leg acts on the solenoid valve such that the arm pivots and the valve seals open.
