  • Patent number: 4110874
Abstract: This retractable pin disconnect is shown herein in connection with the male connector member of existing hardware for parachute harness and the like. The retractable pins engage opposite sockets in the legs of the male connector member for webbing. The retractable pins are on the opposite sidewalls of a hollow body and are connected to a pair of bell cranks which latter are connected to a yoke embracing the arms of the bell cranks so as to rock the bell cranks by pulling the yoke toward the other end of the body thereby to pull the retractable pins inwardly of the body and out of the sockets of the legs of the male connector member. The body is adapted to a webbing and thus interposed between the webbing and the connector member and functions in place of the usual webbing pin of the connector member. Means are provided for pulling the yoke for actuating the bell cranks and resilient means urge the yoke so as to move and hold the bell cranks in position for extending the retractable pins.

  • Patent number: 4110873
Abstract: A releasable coupling comprises a female component providing an open ended sleeve and a male component having a projection for insertion into this sleeve, said projection comprising an enlarged hook formation or detent connected by thinner resilient connecting members to the body of the male part. The form of the components is such that said projection can be inserted through said sleeve, the hook formation, on emerging from the end of the sleeve opposite that from which it was inserted springing resiliently, due to said connecting members, in a transverse direction perpendicular to the insertion direction to bring an abutment face on the hook formation into opposition with an abutment at the end of the sleeve opposite the end from which the said projection was inserted so that the components can thereafter be uncoupled only after displacing the hook formation in the direction opposite to said transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 4109348
Abstract: A clip is provided for maintaining sheets in bundle form, the sheets having holes formed therein, and includes a resilient member and an opening formed adjacent each end of the resilient member. A shoulder member extends from the outer periphery of the openings and is adapted to engage the outer periphery of the holes of the sheets. An end lug is connected to each of the shoulder members and extends in a plane parallel to the resilient member. In this manner, to insert the clip within the holes of the sheets, the resilient member is flexed so that the end lugs may be inserted into the holes of the sheets for maintaining the sheets in bundle form.

  • Patent number: 4109349
Abstract: A slide fastener comprises a pair of end stop members of identical configuration for limiting the closing or upward movement of a slider along fastener elements carried along the inner confronting edges of a pair of stringer tapes, the end stop members being secured respectively to the upper ends of the stringer tapes in opposed relationship to each other. Each of the end stop members has a recess to permit an area of contact of the slider neck with the end stop members to reduce to a minimum, thereby facilitating the movement of the slider into and out of engagement with the end stop members.
