  • Patent number: 11644041
Abstract: A system and a method for automatically correcting a rotational speed of a motor of a fan are provided. After the fan is moved from an open space to a closed space, a sample and hold circuit samples and holds working periods of a driving signal by which the motor is driven to rotate at a first rotational speed as a first sampled working period, and a working period of a driving signal by which the motor is driven to rotate at a second rotational speed. An arithmetic circuit calculates a difference between the first sampled working period and a first reference working period, and a difference between the second sampled working period and a second reference working period. The arithmetic circuit calculates other working periods of driving signals by which the motor is driven to rotate at other rotational speeds based on the differences.

  • Patent number: 11641172
Abstract: A method and a device provide load-free determination of load-dependent position assignment parameters of a synchronous machine without using a position sensor. The synchronous machine is controlled via clocked (pulsed) terminal voltages from which, in conjunction with the measured electric current response, the inductance or admittance is calculated or wherein the load-free lowest and the load-free highest differential inductance are known. Based on the load-free lowest and the load-free highest differential inductance and the short-circuit electric current, the magnetic saturation behavior of the absolute inductance and/or of the magnetic anisotropy of the synchronous machine under load is predicted and used in the position sensor-free control operation (i.e., closed-loop control mode without a position sensor) for position assignment.

  • Patent number: 11624438
Abstract: A motor angle calculation unit acquires from a motor rotation angle sensor a motor rotation angle signal corresponding to a rotational position of the motor, and calculates a motor angle based on the motor rotation angle signal. An output shaft signal acquisition unit acquires, from an output shaft sensor that detects a rotational position of an output shaft, an output shaft signal corresponding to the rotational position of an output shaft. An abnormality determination unit determines abnormality in the output shaft sensor. A target angle setting unit sets a target rotation angle corresponding to a target shift range. A drive control unit controls driving of the motor so that the motor angle becomes a target rotation angle. The target angle setting unit sets the target rotation angle to different values when the output shaft sensor is normal and when the output shaft sensor is abnormal.

  • Patent number: 11601076
Abstract: In a motor driving apparatus having an inverter which can drive n (n being an integer not smaller than 2) motors each having a permanent magnet in its rotor, and a connection switching device for switching the connection state of the n motors, the connection switching device is operated to change the number of the motors connected to the inverter thereby to change the impedance as seen from the inverter towards the motors. When i (i being any of 2 to n) motors among the n motors are concurrently driven by the inverter, the voltage outputted by the inverter may be controlled such that the inductance values of the i motors are identical. It is possible to prevent hunting and step-out due to the phase difference between the motors driven by the inverter.

  • Patent number: 11594997
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for determining an incorrect operating state of an electrical machine with the aid of an electronic circuit having at least one comparator. The electrical machine is controlled with a pulse width modulation signal. The pulse width modulation signal is demodulated. A first signal, which represents the demodulated pulse width modulation signal, is compared with a second signal. The second signal represents a rotational speed or a rotational angle of the electrical machine and/or a current intensity of the electrical machine. This comparison is carried out with the aid of the at least one comparator. An error signal is generated based on the comparison in order to determine the incorrect operating state of the electrical machine.
