Abstract: A call pattern associated with a telephone number of a subscriber of a wireless carrier network is monitored. The call pattern is then analyzed via a machine-learning algorithm to classify the subscriber into a subscriber classification category of multiple subscriber classification categories. A determination is made as to whether the subscriber classification category of the subscriber corresponds to a service plan type of a specific wireless service plan subscribed to by the subscriber for the telephone number. When the subscriber classification category fails to correspond to the plan type, an offer of an additional wireless service plan that corresponds to the subscriber classification category of the subscriber is sent to a user device of the subscriber. When the subscriber classification category corresponds to the service plan type, a caller category label is assigned to the subscriber that indicates the subscriber classification category of the subscriber.

Abstract: Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product that authenticates a caller using calling party information. In an embodiment, an authentication device receives the call request and associated calling party information that includes a calling party number. The authentication device retrieves parameters associated with the calling party number, where a retrieved parameter is a number of accounts linked to the calling party number. The authentication device determines whether the number of accounts is between one and a threshold value, inclusive, and verifies that the call request originates from a location or a device associated with the calling party number. Based on the verifying and determining, the authentication device generates an authentication result that indicates whether the calling party number is authenticated.

Abstract: A call blocking module in a smartphone is configured to generate a whitelist stored in the smartphone, the whitelist comprising a calling party number (“CPN”) using various number sources, such as a contact list, outgoing call list, or incoming call list. As each number source is modified with a new CPN, the whitelist may also be augmented automatically, or based upon a confirmation from a user of the smartphone. A contact center originating voice calls to the smartphone may be configured to generate a text call to the smartphone in order to populate the whitelist with the CPN that will be used when originating a subsequent voice call to the smartphone. Thus, the contact center can originate a text call to the smartphone to potentially increase the likelihood that a subsequent voice call will be passed by the whitelist.

Abstract: A telecommunications network for playing an enhanced announcement in the same format as that of an enhanced call is described herein. An enhanced call is a call via real time text or video. The telecommunications network includes a node or subsystem, such as an IP multimedia subsystem core (IMS or IMS core), programmed to receive an enhanced call in a text or video format, detect the format of the enhanced call, and return an enhanced announcement—an announcement provided in the same format as the enhanced call.
