Abstract: A catheter mounting arrangement including a main housing unit configurable to be fastenable around a catheter that has been inserted into a fluid cavity within a patient. The main housing unit includes a slot that defines a longitudinal opening through which an uninserted section of tubing of the inserted catheter is passable there through. The main housing unit and inserted catheter includes an engagement arrangement so that once the uninserted section of the tubing of the inserted catheter has passed through the slot there is a fixed vertical support of the catheter within the main housing unit so that the uninserted section of tubing of the inserted catheter remains substantially upright and/or substantially free of kinks or bends.

  • Patent number: 11904149
Abstract: A closure assembly for a syringe or other medical administering device includes an outer sleeve having an access opening and a tip cap removably disposed therein. The tip cap includes a flow restrictor structured for removable, flow restricting connection to the syringe. An indicator member is removably connected within the outer sleeve, in interruptive relation to passage of the tip cap through the access opening. A retaining structure is fixedly connected to the flow restrictor and movable therewith relative to the indicator member. The retaining structure and flow restrictor are collectively structured for retaining engagement of the tip cap with the indicator member, as the tip and indicator member are concurrently removed from the outer sleeve and as the tip cap is disconnected from the flow restricting connection with the syringe.

  • Patent number: 11883615
Abstract: A catheter insertion device is provided for positioning and inserting a catheter, particularly a midline catheter into a patient. The insertion device includes an actuator assembly movable with respect to a housing for deploying the catheter over a needle. A step-wise movement of the actuator advances a catheter assembly, including the catheter, in stages over the introducer needle. An indexing finger of the catheter assembly engages the actuator body during distal advancement of the actuator, and deflects as the actuator is moved proximally. The device further includes a lockout device such as a button, collar, slider, or tab, which allows movement of the catheter relative to the needle but prevents advancement of the catheter to the first stage of the step-wise movement.

  • Patent number: 11878156
Abstract: An injection device for injecting medicament in a patient includes a syringe coupled to a housing and radially retained by a retaining rib. A needle guard is slideably coupled to the housing and spring biased in a distal direction by a return spring. A ram is slideably coupled to the housing and spring biased in the distal direction by a main spring. An initial position is defined by a retaining arm being disposed in the longitudinal path of the ram preventing firing. A released position is defined by the retaining arm being clear from the longitudinal path of the ram allowing the ram to extend distally. A locked position is defined by the retaining arm being disposed in the longitudinal path of the ram and a lock arm of the ram being disposed in the longitudinal path of the needle guard preventing the needle guard from being retracted.
