  • Patent number: 12083408
Abstract: A blade holder for use with an ice skate having an removable and replaceable blade to allow the ice skate to be used during separation of the blade from the blade holder. The blade holder includes a blade-retaining base that includes a lower edge and an internal recess that receives the blade. A contact nub is mounted to the blade-retaining base and remains mounted to the base when the blade becomes separated from the base. The contact nub extends below the lower edge of the base such that when the blade becomes separated from the base, the skater can use the contact nub to contact an ice surface. The contact nub is above the blade so as not to affect the normal use of the ice skate. The contact nub can include a pick portion that is used to engage the ice surface to help move the skater when the blade becomes detached.

  • Patent number: 12076636
Abstract: A steering system for a snowboard includes two binding interface pods, one of which may be active and one of which may be passive. Rotation or tilting of a top plate of the active binding interface pod in response to rotation or tilting of the rider's steering foot causes counter-rotation of a steering fin under the rider's steering foot. The passive binding interface pod is responsive via a linkage between the active and passive binding interface pods to cause rotation of a steering fin under the rider's non-steering foot. Coordinated counter-rotation of the steering fins causes the board to turn in the direction of rotation of the rider's steering foot when the steering fins are unaligned. Optionally, both binding pods may be active in steering, i.e. enabling two footed steering.

  • Patent number: 12053690
Abstract: An adjustable wheel mobility vehicle can have a support structure for supporting a rider, a modular conveying feature with a wheel, and an attachment that physically and tightly secures the modular conveying feature to the support structure in at least two different positions. A tool-free mechanism can allow a user to free the modular conveying feature from the support structure for movement to another position. A system for adjusting a skateboard wheel position can include a wheel support structure having multiple wheel attachment positions, and a wheel assembly comprising a skateboard wheel and a base. The wheel can swivel with respect to the base and the base can join to the wheel support structure. The base and wheel support structure can tightly join to prevent rotation of the base with respect to the wheel support structure and that tightly retain the base in a first attachment position. • Patent number: 12054051
Abstract: An in-wheel drive system includes a hub, a driving motor, a rotor support fixed to a rotor of the driving motor on the inner radial side of the rotor, and planetary gear reducers. The planetary gear reducer comprises a sun gear shaft, a planetary gear, a ring gear, and a planetary gear carrier, wherein the sun gear shaft is fixed to the rotor support on the outer radial side of the hub, and the planetary gear carrier is fixed to the hub. A driving force/torque is transmitted to the hub via the rotor, the rotor support, the sun gear shaft, the planetary gear, and the planetary gear carrier. The in-wheel drive system removes the need for a conventional transmission half axle, differential, and other transmission parts, shortens the transmission chain, is conducive to the vehicle layout design, and can easily implement torque vector control.
