The second half of the sleeve includes a hair engaging surface and a non-contact surface with a pocket formed by a left lateral edge, a right lateral edge, and an end edge. The pinch clip has a clasping end, a gripping end, and a hinge. The clasping end includes a top prong and a bottom prong. The gripping end includes a top extension and a bottom extension.

Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) is arranged to translate a first wavelength of light (Li) from a light source (L) into a second wavelength of N escaping light (EL) escaping from the luminescent unit (LU). Preferably, light escapes from the luminescent unit (LU) where hair (H) touches the luminescent unit (LU). Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) is provided with a scattering element. A refractive index of the luminescent unit (LU) may range from 1.3 to 1.7, preferably 1.3 to 1.42. Preferably, the luminescent unit (LU) provides for a plurality C of treatment compartments.

Abstract: An eyelash plate assembly for use with eyelash application is provided. The assembly comprises a lash plate and a lash tile, the tile having been prepared with the eyelashes to be applied. The assembly can further include a means for supporting and positioning the plate near the customer's face for application. This allows for the stylist to apply the eyelashes in an efficient and safe manner.

The extending cam element engaging an oblong opening on a backside of the blade plate holder frame, raising and dropping the entire blade plate holder frame, and causing the blade in the blade plate to clip nails in a downward movement and return the blade plate to a ready elevated position.

Abstract: A split end removal comb. This comb includes an outer shell which houses an inner shell of similar shape but smaller dimensions, and a handle, which houses an electromechanical assembly. The inner comb can slide to a lock position inside the upper part of the outer comb, whereby the hair can be stretched away from the scalp and bent into divided strands. In this position, the blades mounted on the teeth of the inner comb, which can be powered by a motor, can be activated through a shaft running through the perpendicular axis of the device thereby trimming the tips of the hair, as it is being combed by the user. During operation, the hair goes through channels created by the multi-planar arrays of a plurality of teeth, ridges, and blades arranged along various angles and distances. This results in a safe and easy trimming of split ends.

The single parting member is configured to impart a part in the subject's hair while mounting the hair band member to the subject's head. The single parting member may be centrally located on the hair band member to provide a central part or be offset to provide a side part.

The oral hygiene device may include a handle portion and a head portion coupled to the handle portion and including a pick head interface. A pick head may be removably coupled to the pick head interface. The pick head may include a pointed pick member. An image capture device may be disposed in the head portion. The image capture device may be effective to capture image data representing images of an area proximal to a tip of the pointed pick member. A vibration element may be coupled to the pick head interface. The vibration element may be effective to vibrate the pick head.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices and methods for holding hair to prevent hair damage during combing procedures. A hair gripping device can include a handle, a jaw connected to the handle, and a grip retained within the jaw. The handle and the jaw may comprise portions of first and second arms of the hair gripping device. The grip may be configured to hold a plurality of hair strands at a hair contact portion of the grip. With actuation of the handle, the jaw may be configured to move between a closed position in which movement of a majority of strands in a bundle of hair within the first hair contact portion is inhibited by the grip and an open position in which movement of a majority of hair strands in a bundle of hair within the first hair contact portion is not inhibited by the grip.
