Abstract: An aseptic medical instrument packaging has supporting peelable flaps by adding a material playing a supporting role which is harder than the rest of an extending part outside a sealing edge of a peeling side of the packaging, or adopting a material which is harder than the rest of an extending part outside a sealing edge of the peeling side of the packaging. A groove is carved in a junction between an outer edge of a sealing edge of a peeling side of the packaging. The material playing the supporting role comprises hard plastic, metal and paper. A soft cover of the packaging is prevented from being curled inwardly in the process of peeling open the packaging; and when one or two peeling sides exist, the degree of differentiation the peeling side will be increased, such that medical staff can conveniently find the peeling side.

Abstract: An outsert for affixing to a product package includes a base layer, a top layer, and a printed document. The base layer includes a perforated region arranged to be aligned with a tear tape on an outer wrapping of the package. The top layer is arranged on the base layer and has one or more edge regions adhered to the base layer. The printed document is enclosed in an inner volume established between the base layer and top layer. A laminate layer can be disposed in the inner volume between the top layer and the printed document to increase the rigidity of the outsert.

Abstract: A package for a medical device includes a folder having bottom and top panels, the bottom panel including a leading edge, a trailing edge, and at least one medical device securing element. The top panel has a leading edge, and a trailing edge joined with the trailing edge of the bottom panel. The folder has an unfolded configuration in which the leading edges of the top and bottom panels face in opposite directions, and a folded configuration in which the top panel is folded over the bottom panel so that the leading edges of the top and bottom panels face in the same direction and are aligned with one another. The folder is insertable into a sealable pouch having a seal with a first leg whereby the leading edges of the folder are abutted against the first leg of the seal of the pouch.

Abstract: Disclosed is a container for storing, displaying, and dispensing many types of articles. The container comprises a body comprising a cavity to store the articles and an open end for access to the articles. The container further comprises a lid comprising a cavity, a first open end engaged with the open end of the body and a flexible sheet engaged with and fully disposed within the cavity of the lid. The container further comprises a cap engaged with a second open end of the lid. Removal of the cap from the lid allows the flexible sheet to be moved between a first position where the flexible sheet is disposed outward of the lid with the articles resting on the flexible sheet and a second position where the flexible sheet is held to form a u-shaped tube allowing the articles to be poured into said second open end of the lid.

Abstract: An 18V power tool having one 18V battery pack attachable thereto and a 36V power tool having two 18V battery packs attachable thereto are housed in a tool case and sold as a set or kit. Two or more battery packs and/or a charger may also be included in the set, and sold therewith. A tool case may be used to house and carry the power tools, as well as the battery packs and/or charger, if provided. Sales systems for selling such power tools are also disclosed.

The ridge divides the main body into a first region at a first side of the ridge and a second region at a second side of the ridge. The retaining portion includes (a) prongs configured to, when the portion of the object is inserted in the retaining portion, engage with side grooves in opposite sides of the object to prevent the object from rotating, and (b) ribs configured to support the prongs when the prongs are forced towards the ribs.

Abstract: The present invention is a novel, theft-resistant, and senior-friendly packaging for consumer and retail products that is cheap and easy to manufacture. The packaging is designed to prevent individuals from gaining access to the enclosed product through tampering with the packaging while at the same time meeting or exceeding federal child-resistant and senior-friendly guidelines. The packaging incorporates plastic material and multiple cuts to be tear-resistant and to halt the propagation of a tear, if one should occur.

Abstract: A writing instrument case includes a base having a first member and a second member rotatably attached to the first member via a hinge. A flap is attached to the base and includes at least one button adapted to fit within at least one dimple of the second member. The flap further includes a plurality of grooves, at least one groove having a knob to secure a portion of a writing instrument to the flap. The second member of the base is rotatably moveable between a closed position, in which the flap fits within the second member of the base, and an open position, in which the projection of the second member fits into the slot of the first member of the base upon rotation of the second member toward the first member, forming a locking mechanism.

Abstract: Improved packages and methods for constructing packages are provided that are designed such that the user can peel back a lidding member of the package to reveal an independently peelable portion covering one of the compartments. The independently peelable portion is a layer of the lidding member that maintains the respective compartment in an unopened (sealed) condition until the user independently peels that layer off to access the items in that compartment. The lidding member can be used to re-seal all of the compartments before and/or after the independently peelable portion is removed. The independently peelable portion may include a visual indication of a sealed condition of the compartment that serves as a tamper evidence feature. In multiple-compartment packages, peeling back the lidding member allows the user to access some of the compartments of the package, while at least one of the compartments remains sealed via the independently peelable portion.

Abstract: A system for releasing a contained volume of gas. The system has a base with a pressure-release vent positioned within a flex region and a seal to disengagably seal the pressure-release vent. The seal has a gas vent path that extends from the pressure-release vent. The contained volume of gas passes through the gas vent path to apply force against the flex region and disengage the seal from the pressure-release vent, allowing the gas to exit through the pressure-release vent.

Abstract: An expandable holding tank includes a base supporting a first sidewall to define a liquid retaining enclosure. A second sidewall travels up and down one of an exterior face or an interior face of the first sidewall from a stored position to an operative position. In the stored position, the second sidewall is nested with the first sidewall to position a lower edge of the second sidewall adjacent to the base. In the operative position, the second sidewall is telescopically extended relative to the first sidewall to place the lower edge of the second sidewall at a distance from the base and an upper edge of the second sidewall extending above an upper edge of the first sidewall.

Closing the drawer of the toolbox with a first amount of force does not engage the integral latch with the latch receptacle, while closing the drawer of the toolbox with a second amount of force automatically engages the integral latch with the latch receptacle, securing the one or more drawers within the housing.
