Abstract: Improved packages and methods for constructing packages are provided that are designed such that the user can peel back a lidding member of the package to reveal an independently peelable portion covering one of the compartments. The independently peelable portion is a layer of the lidding member that maintains the respective compartment in an unopened (sealed) condition until the user independently peels that layer off to access the items in that compartment. The lidding member can be used to re-seal all of the compartments before and/or after the independently peelable portion is removed. The independently peelable portion may include a visual indication of a sealed condition of the compartment that serves as a tamper evidence feature. In multiple-compartment packages, peeling back the lidding member allows the user to access some of the compartments of the package, while at least one of the compartments remains sealed via the independently peelable portion.
Abstract: A disposable beverage container sleeve has a substantially rectangular upper body and a gusset. The upper body has a vertical upper body fold line and an integrated upper body flap along a first vertical edge of the upper body. The upper body flap is adapted to fold over a second vertical edge of the upper body and is affixed to the upper body proximate the second vertical edge. The gusset is formed from a first gusset portion and a second gusset portion, the first and second gusset portions being integrated with and depending from a lower edge of the upper body on opposing sides of the vertical upper body fold line. The gusset further comprises a gusset support band formed by at least one thickness of the first gusset portion and at least one thickness of the second gusset portion.

Abstract: Detachable container for strawberries which allows the transport, storage, presentation and consumption of the fruit in optimum conditions and with minimum handling from harvesting until consumption, formed by the joining through fitting by pressure between triangular cross-sectional-shaped cavities and protuberances of a base and a lid respectively, the base having cells to house the individual pieces of fruit. The number and the size of cells depend on the characteristics of the strawberries that they must contain. The container may be separated into up to four sub-units by simple pulling along diagonal tear lines, and it has retracting handles on its sides to facilitate its transport, as well as a central orifice to thread the containers on a vertical rod in the point-of-sale and obtain a more attractive presentation.
Abstract: A case having a standing leg includes a soft protective cover, a hard protective frame, a standing leg, and a spring which biases the standing leg to an open position. An opening formed on the hard protective frame so that the standing leg fits in the opening. The standing leg and the soft protective cover are constructed to be magnetically attractable to each other. In a closed position of the standing leg, a magnetic force between the standing leg and the soft protective cover is stronger than a tensile force of the spring to maintain the standing leg's closed position, and in the open position of the standing leg, the tensile force is stronger than the magnetic force to maintain the standing leg's open position. In the alternative embodiment, the case includes a kickstand which is secured between the soft protective cover and the hard protective frame.
Abstract: A length of fastener stock (111) includes opposing first and second continuous side members—(113-1) and (113-2) which are coupled together by a plurality of flexible cross-links (117). Individual fasteners (121) are selectively obtained from the stock (111) by cutting or separating the side members (113-1) and (113-2) at appropriate points (i.e., midway) between the cross-links or filaments (115). Accordingly, each fastener (121) will include a first cross-bar (123-1), which has been cut from side member (113-1), and a second cross-bar (123-2), which has been cut from side member (113-2), the cross-bars (123-1) and (123-2) being interconnected by the flexible filament (115). Suitably, with respect to an axial cross-section thereof, the width W of the flexible filament (115) is greater than or equal to approximately one and a half-times the height H of the filament (115).
Abstract: This is a surgical instrument organizational device for use during medical procedures where instruments are being used. This invention is designed to hold numerous instruments upright and easily accessible. The length of the base (1) can be lengthened, shortened or heightened during manufacturing to fit the need of specialized areas of surgery all the while keeping the same basic design intact.
Abstract: A handling system for use in the manufacture of syringe barrels includes a tray having an array of apertures with a tubular upstand around each aperture, each upstand at the upper end thereof defining a support surface for a syringe barrel. Each syringe barrel comprises a cylindrical part and an enlargement at or adjacent the rear end of the barrel and carries at its forward end a safe needle device or a needle shield of a greater diameter than the syringe barrel. At least one of the enlargement of the syringe barrel or the support surface has a profile tapering or rounded inwardly in the downward direction so that when the tray is supported generally horizontally and a syringe barrel is lowered into an upstand, the syringe barrel is centered by co-operation between the enlargement and the support surface. The enlargement may be a flange at the rear end of the syringe barrel or could be a further component fitted to the barrel.

Abstract: A package (1) is configured to store a powdery material (2) which is to be mixed with a solvent to form a medical solution, such as a dialysis solution. The package (1) comprises a filled cavity portion (6a) containing the powdery material (2), optionally separated into groups of different composition, and a tab portion (9) integrally formed with the filled cavity portion (6a) and being swept around the filled cavity portion (6a) so as to define a roll-up package. The tab portion (9) forms a protective barrier that shields the powdery material (2), e.g. by counteracting transport of moisture into and out of the package. The tab portion (9) may also stabilize the package. The roll-up package is compact, and simple to manufacture and handle.
Abstract: A medication dispensing system includes a fluid and a plurality of pills. A bottle is provided and the fluid is contained within the bottle. The bottle has an outer wall and an inner wall. The inner wall defines a plurality of compartments with respect to the outer wall. Each of the compartments is fluidly discrete from an interior of the bottle. Each of the pills is removably positioned within an associated one of the compartments and each of the pills may be selectively consumed in conjunction with the fluid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to improved packages which include a rigid or semi-rigid tray having a single thermoplastic overwrap comprising a polymeric laminate surrounding the tray and having a front panel and an opposing back panel. The inventive packages also include a continuous seal circumscribing a recessed cavity of the tray which comprises a heat seal formed by heat sealing a portion of the front panel to the peripheral flange of the tray. Advantageously, when the tray is removed from the overwrap, a portion of the first film separates from the laminate and remains peelably sealed to the flange of the tray and thus, may serve as a lidding film for the container. Since the recessed cavity is still covered, the container may then be placed directly in a microwave or conventional oven to thaw and/or cook the food container within the package without first removing the lidding film.

Abstract: An easily-operated vacuum storage container comprises box body and a vacuum control device that is mounted on the box body in a removable manner. The vacuum control device comprises a vacuum pump for evacuating the box body that is provided with a vacuum relief valve, and a relief valve control mechanism. When the vacuum control device is mounted in the box body, the relief valve control mechanism can open or close the vacuum relief valve. When the vacuum control device is not mounted in the box body, users can directly control the vacuum relief valve to release the vacuum inside the box body. When the vacuum control device is mounted and users need to release the vacuum in the box body, they need not to take up the vacuum control device, but directly operate the relief valve control mechanism on the vacuum control device to release the vacuum.
Abstract: An instrument case with a built in stand is provided. The present invention includes an enclosure on a rear surface of the instrument case. The stand may include a deploy arm and a leg. The deploy arm includes a top end and a bottom end. The bottom end is pivotally secured within the enclosure bay. The leg is pivotally secured in between the top end and bottom end of the deploy arm. The leg includes slider pins slidably engaged with slots formed in the enclosure bay. The stand comprises a deployed position and a retracted position. The deployed position includes the deploy arm and the leg pivoted away from the enclosure bay and supporting the instrument case in an upright position of a surface. The retracted position includes the deploy arm and the leg pivoted towards the enclosure bay such that the instrument case is easy to transport.
Abstract: A document storage assembly includes a case that may contain a document. The case is substantially comprised of a translucent material such that the document may be viewed while the document is within the case. The case comprising a first half hingedly coupled to a second half. The case is positioned in an open position such that the document may be positioned between the first half and the second half. The case is sealed when the case is positioned in a closed position such that the case prevents moisture from contacting the document. A gasket is coupled to the first half thereby facilitating the case to be sealed when the case is positioned in the closed position.
Abstract: A blank for a package, a package, and a kit having a package with a cleaning implement therein. The package has a front panel and side panels with a transition that provides for regions of relatively greater and relatively lesser depth in said package. A window is disposed in the front panel, and registered with the portions of the side panel having relatively lesser depth. This geometry provides the benefit that the package may hold all contents deemed helpful at point of sale, while allowing the cleaning implement to be visible through or protrude through the window without shadows being cast from the side panels.
