Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a client server-based system for online token-based games. The system comprises a plurality of game client computing devices configured to play an online token-based game, and a game-based server system comprising central game server configured to connect the players and a protocol manager to provide a plurality of protocols for providing a token based game in a collusion resistant, verifiable and provably fair manner over a network.

Abstract: A gaming system and method of facilitating personalized wager opportunities based on a user-selected fantasy sports team is disclosed. Players may first select athletes for a fantasy sports team. Based on the projected team score for the fantasy sports team selected by the player, a set of wager opportunities may be generated for that player. The wager opportunities may include a set of benchmark point levels and associated odds for the respective levels. Players can place wagers based on whether the actual total score of the fantasy sports team they selected exceeds one or more benchmark point levels and specify the amount to be wagered for each benchmark point level. Thus, a player can make wagers that are won or lost based on the performance of the player's fantasy team compared to the benchmark point levels, regardless of how other players' fantasy sports teams perform.

Abstract: A service may be provided to a set of people when the people satisfy a proximity criterion. In one example, that set of people comprises users of a particular application and/or registrants with a particular system. A location monitor may determine people's location based on position data received from those people's devices (which may be obtained pursuant to appropriate permission in order to respect the device owners' interest in privacy). When the location monitor determines, based on people's positions, that a proximity criterion has been satisfied, the location monitor may cause a service to be provided that would not otherwise have been provided if the proximity criterion had not been satisfied. By providing additional service when a proximity criterion is satisfied, a reward in the virtual world is used to encourage people to gather in the physical world.

Abstract: Methods and systems that facilitate generating and presenting a crossword puzzle. Methods include obtaining, from a content source, a plurality of data items. Using the plurality of data items, a dictionary of clue-word pairs are generated. A crossword layout is generated using a random crossword layout generator. The generated crossword layout is input to a model that outputs a likelihood that the input crossword layout results in a valid crossword. If the likelihood that the crossword layout results in a valid crossword puzzle satisfies a first threshold, a plurality of words in a set of clue-word pairs from among the plurality of clue-word pairs is inserted into the crossword layout. If the plurality of words inserted into the crossword layout results in a valid crossword puzzle, the crossword puzzle is provided to a user on a user device using the set of clue-word pairs.

Abstract: An electronic game subscribes to events—such as a physical gesture or appearance of the user, certain spoken user commands, or the like—identified by a game mediation infrastructure. The game mediation infrastructure receives user input data received from the user's client device, analyzes the data, and determines whether one of the events subscribed to by the electronic game has occurred. If so, the game mediation infrastructure notifies the electronic game of the occurrence of the event, and the electronic game alters the state of the game accordingly.
