  • Patent number: 6792683
Abstract: Foldable axes cut wood while being safely and easily transportable. The foldable ax provides the benefits of a long handled ax by consisting of four handle elements attached to a blade which unfold and lock in the in use position. The handle elements enclose the blade in the storage and transport position, thereby preventing the cutting edge of the blade from coming into contact with objects it could damage and rendering the foldable ax much more compact. A series of latching mechanisms removably secure each handle element in place in the in use position. The handle elements are hingedly attached to one another.

  • Patent number: 6776076
Abstract: An angle sensor has a miter bar, a fence, a rotary sensor, a display, and a processing system and may additionally have a head plate, an auxiliary fence, means for detachably affixing the miter bar to a saw blade, and a power source. The miter bar has a longitudinal axis. Primary fence 6 is pivotally disposed on the miter bar and has a face that defines a plane. The rotary sensor outputs a signal indicative of the angle between the longitudinal axis of the miter bar and the plane of the face. The processing system interprets the signal and activates the display to numerically exhibit the angle. The display provides a visual indication of the angle.

  • Patent number: 6775912
Abstract: A blade scraping tool including a hand gripping casing formed of a top covering and a bottom covering; a resilient plate mounted inside the casing; a blade; a blade mounting device; and an interlocking assembly. The resilient plate is slidably movable along a longitudinal slot on the top covering by actuating a push button thereon to release engagement of the interlocking assembly. The interlocking assembly cooperates with the resilient plate and the top covering for locking the plate into different positions by actuating and sliding the push button; a first position where the blade is entirely retracted within the casing, a second position where the blade is exposed for scraping, and a third position where the blade is exposed far enough for mounting and removal of the blade from the blade mounting device. The tool preferably includes a peripheral elastomer rim along a portion of the periphery of the casing.

  • Patent number: 6766719
Abstract: The invention describes a method and an apparatus removing a plurality of die-cut products from an operating area of a die-cutting apparatus having multiple dies. The die-cut products are simultaneously picked up at a pick-up point in the operating area. Then they are simultaneously moved to a delivery point outside the operating area. At the delivery point, the die-cut products are released simultaneously. The operations of picking up moving and releasing are carried out in such a manner that the die-cut products at the delivery point are situated at substantially at the same position with respect to one another as those which they adopt at the pick-up point.
