  • Patent number: 8903388
Abstract: Provided is compact base station device that reduces the processing load with an upper layer network device by reducing the amount of signaling with an upper layer network device. In the device, a CSG member management device (102) stores CSG member information beforehand. A network message generation unit (107) generates a message used for collectively registering the CSG member terminals stored in the CSG member management unit (102), in an upper layer network device. At startup, a network interface unit (108) transmits a message generated by the network message generation unit (107) to the upper layer network device. In response to the message transmitted by the network interface unit (108), a network message analysis unit (106) acquires from the upper layer network device parameter information for connecting to the CSG member terminals.

  • Patent number: 8862143
Abstract: When enabled with common reference signal interference cancelation, a user equipment (UE) may still compute a channel state feedback value with consideration of any canceled interfering neighboring signals. When the neighboring cells are determined to be transmitting data during the time for which the channel state feedback value is being computed, the UE is able to derive the channel state feedback value considering those canceled interfering signals. The UE determines whether each neighboring cell is transmitting during the designated time either by obtaining signals that indicate the transmission schedule of the neighboring cells or by detecting the transmission schedule, such as based on the power class of the neighboring cells. If the UE determines that the neighboring cells are transmitting data during this time period, the UE will compute the channel state feedback value including consideration of the canceled interfering signals.

  • Patent number: 8838090
Abstract: A PCID conflict resolution procedure is implemented with the aid of a user terminal that is capable of detecting and reporting PCID conflicts between two neighboring neighbor cells. A base station in a serving cell configures measurement reporting by user terminals within the cell capable of reporting PCID conflicts. Once measurement reporting by one or more user terminals is configured, the base station will receive measurement reports from the capable user terminals. If a capable user terminal detects a PCID conflict, the user terminal will include an indication of the PCID conflict in the measurement report. When the base station receives a measurement report with an indication of a PCID conflict, the base station implements an autonomous PCID conflict resolution to resolve the PCID conflict.
