  • Patent number: 6966963
Abstract: A covering system is designed as an elongated strip of covering material having a fibrous layer and an integral moldable layer for mounting on the upper surface of boards, such as deck planks. In a preferred embodiment, strips are preferably secured to the length of the boards solely by a layer of a hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive carried by the strip. The moldable material is applied in a volume of about at least 185 grams per square meter. A removable release sheet covers the adhesive surface of the moldable material. The release sheet can include a positioning mechanism and indicia such as the direction of the pile and measuring guides. The moldable material provides sufficient adhesion across the width of the strip for both initial application and sufficient thickness for subsequently molding to the board surface for long term adhesion.

  • Patent number: 6964708
Abstract: A booth for coating objects with powder, in particular for powder painting, comprises in a manner known per se a housing, in which there is situated at least one application device, with which powder can be applied to the objects. Situated in the upper region of the housing is an air plenum, which is fed with supply air via an inlet opening. The air plenum is closed off downwardly by a filter ceiling. In contrast to known filter ceilings, the one according to the invention is air-permeable in its marginal region only, while in its central region it consists of air-impermeable material. The supply air is thus introduced into the interior of the booth as a kind of “air curtain” which flows mainly along the side walls of the housing of the booth, entrains in the process stray excess powder which has not adhered to the objects to be coated, and supplies it to at least one extraction opening situated in the bottom of the booth.

  • Patent number: 6960257
Abstract: A processor for processing integrated circuit wafers, semiconductor substrates, data disks and similar units requiring very low contamination levels. The processor has an interface section which receives wafers in standard wafer carriers. The interface section transfers the wafers from carriers onto novel trays for improved processing. The interface unit can hold multiple groups of multiple trays. A conveyor having an automated arm assembly moves wafers supported on a tray. The conveyor moves the trays from the interface along a track to several processing stations. The processing stations are accessed from an enclosed area adjoining the interface section.

  • Patent number: 6958095
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for manufacturing a stacked type electronic part which can manufacture a stacked type electronic part dried at low temperature for a product by increasing a manufacturing speed. A base plate is placed in a predetermined linear section path to be moved back and forth and be moved vertically. Above the section path are juxtaposed one or more insulator layer forming means discharging an insulating resin paste, conductor layer forming means jetting a conductor paste by an ink jet system and drying means drying the pastes. A thin film layer having a predetermined conductor pattern placed on an insulator layer while the base plate is moved back and forth one or more times. • Patent number: 6955721
Abstract: A coating apparatus for applying a coating liquid to a printing substrate. The coating apparatus has a rotatable first roll and a rotatable second roll, each having a surface energy. The second roll is positioned adjacent to the first roll and defines with the first roll a first nip through which the printing substrate passes A metering device is provided for applying a substantially uniform layer of coating liquid onto the second roll. The second roll in turn transfers the coating liquid to the printing substrate. The surface energy of the second roll is greater than the surface energy of the coating liquid. In one embodiment, the metering device includes a rotatable third roll and a doctor blade contacting the third roll, each having a surface energy. The surface energy of at least a portion of either or both the third roll and doctor blade is less than the surface energy of the coating liquid.

  • Patent number: 6953512
Abstract: A method and material for covering exposed insulation surfaces to protect them from moisture and other environmental factors. The covering typically includes a first, exposed layer of a metal-containing foil, a second layer of a metal-containing foil, a layer of a polymer disposed between the first two layers of foil, a third layer of a metal-containing foil, and a second layer of polymer disposed between the second and third layers of foil. A layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive is applied to one of the exposed layers of foil, and the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is covered with a release liner prior to application. The foil provides the necessary moisture and weather seal while the polymer provides the necessary strength and puncture resistance. The overall thickness of the laminate typically is less than 100 microns, permitting it to be easily cut and manipulated at the job site while providing an effective, long lasting weather seal.
