  • Patent number: 10803438
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a reading apparatus is arranged between an operator and a customer face-to-face standing. The reading apparatus includes a main body, a first image capturing section for the operator, a second image capturing section for the customer, and a processing section, an output section. The first image capturing section is arranged at the main body and photographs a commodity. The second image capturing section is arranged at the main body and photographs the customer-holding object. The processing section executes sales registration. The output section acquires images captured by the first and second image capturing sections to output the images to the processing section. When transaction starting is instructed, the output section acquires the images captured by the first and second image capturing sections and adds an identifier to each image to be output to the processing section. The identifier represents a source capturing an image.

  • Patent number: 10803263
Abstract: A wireless tag reading apparatus includes an input control means, an extraction means, a storage control means, and a determination means. The input control means receives an input of a signal obtained by converting the radio wave received by an antenna that receives a radio wave from a wireless tag. The extraction means extracts the phase of the radio wave received by the antenna from the signal received by the input control means. The storage control means causes the storage medium to store the phase of the radio waves extracted by the extraction means for each reception position at which the antenna received the radio waves. The determination means determines whether the wireless tag that transmitted the radio wave is inside a predetermined region based on the amount of change of phase stored in the storage medium.

  • Patent number: 10789441
Abstract: One or more implementations shown in the present specification provide a method for generating an identification code. A center of a detection area is determined. A plurality of concentric circles are determined based on the center. A plurality of position detection patterns whose distance from the center is the radius are determined based on the center and a radius. A start pattern from each position detection pattern is determined. N-ary characters corresponding to a to-be-encoded content to obtain the identification code are encode on the concentric circles based on a position of the start pattern. Codes corresponding to adjacent and same characters in the N-ary characters form an arc line segment. A code corresponding to a character that is different from both adjacent characters in the N-ary characters is a point. Codes corresponding to different characters in the N-ary characters have different colors.

  • Patent number: 10736414
Abstract: An oral care implement having an optical machine-readable representation of data, such as a barcode. The oral care implement may include a plurality of protrusions that at least partially define the optical machine-readable representation of data. Specifically, portions of the plurality of protrusions have a color that visually contrasts with a color of a surface that is exposed between the plurality of protrusions. Thus, the protrusions and the exposed surface collectively form the optical machine-readable representation of data. The oral care implement may include a soft tissue cleaner that forms the optical machine-readable representation of data.

  • Patent number: 10691848
Abstract: A composite structure, such as a laminated composite panel, for example, comprises one or more layers or “plies” embedded in a matrix material or otherwise fixed together in an arrangement, commonly referred to as a “stack up.” Each material in the structure has a corresponding material failure model (MFM) defining the physical characteristics of that material. A ballistic threshold velocity computing device obtains the MFMs for each material in the composite structure, generates a predicted ballistic velocity threshold velocity for each MFM, and then generates a parametric model to compute a composite ballistic velocity threshold velocity for the composite structure.
