An example method can include receiving, via one or more processors, a document associated with a booking of a shipment; extracting, via the one or more processors, data in the document associated with the booking of the shipment; based on the extracted data, generating a shipment record in a shipment management system; and based on the shipment record, tracking the shipment associated with the booking.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure include a financial services card including a card substrate, and multiple rows of braille-encoded characters formed on the card substrate, at least a portion of the braille-encoded characters encoding an account number that is associated with the financial services card being distributed between a first row and a second row of the multiple rows, and additional information associated with the financial services card being braille-encoded in a third row.

Abstract: RFID systems may be configured to use session-dependent replies. When an RFID tag is involved in a certain inventorying session, the tag may respond to inventorying commands with a reply that is at least partly generated based on the session. For example, the tag may generate a reply with a string that has parity based on the session or includes an identifier for the session. The string may be a random number, a tag identifier or item identifier, or any other suitable data sent from the tag.

Abstract: Coupling frames (CF) for smartcards (SC) having contactless capability. Openings (MO) for transponder chip modules (TCM) may have various non-rectangular shapes. Slits in the coupling frames may have various shapes, and may extend from anywhere in the opening to anywhere on the periphery (outer edge) of the coupling frame. The slit may be filled. A slit area of the coupling frame may be reinforced. The coupling frame may be one or more metal layers in the card. The slits of two coupling frames may have different shapes than one another. The coupling frame may constitute the entire card body. The coupling frame may be smaller than the overall card body.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a merchandise reading apparatus is equipped with a storage chamber formed of a radio wave shielding member and a reading apparatus which reads information of a radio tag from merchandise attached with the radio tag and stored in the storage chamber, and at least a part of the storage chamber is formed of a light transmitting member.

Abstract: A user having an account with a payment provider receives an unregistered payment card that is associated with the payment provider, and that includes a magnetic strip encoded with a number unique to the card and a machine readable code such as a QR/barcode embossed thereon. The user may then open an application on the user's mobile device to capture the number associated with the card by, for example, scanning the QR/barcode, capturing an image of the number, speaking the number into the device, or manually entering the number into the user's device. The user may also authenticate with the payment provider by entering login credentials. The user may then confirm a request to link the number of the card with the user's payment provider account, which activates and links the card to the user account so that the user can immediately use the card for purchases.

Abstract: Images of optical codes are mapped to an overview image to localize optical codes within a space. By localizing optical codes, information about locations of various products can be ascertained. One or more techniques can be used to map the images of optical codes to the overview image. The overview image can be a composite image formed by stitching together several images.

Abstract: A payment terminal evaluator includes a contact structure and a card structure. The contact structure intersects a rectangular space such that part of the contact structure is within the rectangular space and part of the contact structure is outside of the rectangular space. The card structure extends from the contact structure and is positioned entirely within the rectangular space. The card structure includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side surface between the top surface and the bottom surface, a second side surface between the top surface and the bottom surface, a first tab defined in part by the top surface, the bottom surface and the first side surface, a second tab defined in part by the top surface, the bottom surface and the second side surface, and an opening between the first tab and the second tab.

Abstract: In some implementations, a transaction device may include a display screen, at least one photosensitive sensor configured to detect a luminance of a viewing surface of the display screen, and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to monitor an output of the at least one photosensitive sensor, determine that the output is indicative of an obstruction on the display screen based on the output indicating a change to the luminance of the viewing surface of the display screen, and disable one or more operations of the transaction device based on determining that the output is indicative of the obstruction on the display screen.

The central processor is coupled for communication realtime to multiple unaffiliated stored-value card processing networks normally operated by respective hosts. Each network includes a stored-value card processor coupled to a stored-value card database and multiple respective merchant communication devices. The central processor is programmed for managing the activation and issuance of transactions and activities for the stored-value card through the respective unaffiliated networks.

Metal layers (ML) may have openings (MO) for receiving the module, and slits (S) or nonconductive stripes (NCS) extending to the openings, thereby forming coupling frames (CF). A card body (CB) for the smartcard may comprise two such metal layers (front and rear coupling frames) separated by a layer of non-conductive (dielectric) material. A front face card layer and a rear face card layer may complete a multiple coupling frame stack-up for a smartcard. Various slit designs (configurations, geometries) are described and illustrated. The slit may be filled. The slit may be reinforced.

Abstract: In embodiments of the disclosure a method is disclosed for exchanging digital tokens from a message-based application is disclosed. The method includes displaying, by a digital wallet GUI, an inventory of tokens that are owned by a user. Each token is linked to a virtual representation of an item and redeemable for an instance of the item. The method also includes receiving an instruction to transfer a digital token from the inventory of tokens to a recipient and displaying a keyboard that includes a selectable media content that represents the item linked to the token. The method also includes receiving a selection of the media content and embedding a token identifier of the token in a text-based message that is sent to the recipient, such that the recipient can select the selectable media content to accept to the digital token into a respective digital wallet of the recipient.

Abstract: Methods and devices for performing color imaging processing on the fly for barcode readers are disclosed herein. An example method includes color image processing in a barcode reader to identify one of raw image data or processed image data and further decoding indicia in the identified raw or processed image data. The method includes receiving a raw image data of an image of an object, performing image processing on the raw image data, analyzing the raw image data and the processed image data, and identifying which of the raw image data or processed image data to communicate to a decoder for further decoding. The decoder then identifies, in the identified raw image data or processed image data, indicia corresponding to an object, and decodes the identified indicia.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention, methods are provided for receiving a photograph of, and information relating to, an item, and generating a virtual representation of the item. The item may be authenticated by making an authentication request via a portal to subject-matter authentication experts, wherein the portal displays the virtual representation of the item in the portal. An authentication report may be received from the experts, and a non-fungible digital token having a unique token identifier may be generated. The non-fungible token may be cryptographically linked to the virtual representation of the item on a cryptographic ledger and ownership data of the non-fungible token associated with an account of an owner of the item on the cryptographic ledger.

Abstract: An embodiment of this disclosure provides a sealing system for cash bags. The system includes a banknote validator, a head coupled to the banknote validator, a bag of a roll of bags, the bag configured to mount to the head, a first sealing mechanism coupled to the head and configured to seal a top portion of the bag, a second sealing mechanism configured to seal a bottom portion of the bag, and a vacuum pump configured to connect to the bag and configured to pump air from the bag.
