  • Patent number: 11120324
Abstract: A planar conductor device and RFID chip are folded to create a coil to form an RFID tag. The result is the formation of a solenoid coil, not planar, which allows the device to be placed against metal. Specifically, the planar structure is folded into a concertina fold. After folding, a spiral conductor is formed in the Z direction, forming a coil with the RFID chip connected to both ends. This structure operates as a resonant RFID tag.

  • Patent number: 11010574
Abstract: A method of optically scanning indicia on an object includes providing a coherent light source for illuminating the object with coherent light. The object is marked with indicia including a first feature and a second feature, with the first feature including reflection of coherent light and said second feature including emittance of non-coherent light when illuminated. An imaging device is capable of distinguishing coherent light from non-coherent light. The indicia are illuminated with coherent light generated by the coherent light source causing the indicia to reflect coherent light and emit non-coherent light. The coherent light is distinguished from the non-coherent light emitted from the indicia by a controller for identifying a pattern of one of said first feature and said second feature.

  • Patent number: 10977460
Abstract: According to some embodiments of the invention, data may be collected from multiple tagged pallets by a mobile reader pallet. The tagged pallets may include components capable of short range communication with the mobile reader pallet. The reader pallet may include components capable of long range communication that allow the reader pallet to transmit the data to another device or server. This may result in reduced costs and battery preservation, as each pallet does not need to include costly and power intensive long range communication components. Further, because the reader pallet is mobile, movement of the tagged pallets within range of a stationary reader is not needed.
