The cart data is encoded, using a selected encoding technique, into a code, which can be a phrase, an emoji string, a QR code, or an image of a face that can be transferrable to a second device. The code is presented on the first device. In response to receiving the code from the second device, the electronic shopping cart is re-generated based on the cart data extracted from the code. The electronic shopping cart is made accessible to the user via the second device.

The client-side platform generates a single transaction and invoice whether the selected items are purchased from in-network or third-party vendors.
