  • Patent number: 11774924
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for process schedule reconciliation receives a scheduling model and an initial schedule for reconciliation, where the initial schedule includes projected plant data. Current plant data is imported into the system. The current plant data and projected plant data is processed using mathematical modeling techniques to identify event boundaries, stream flowrates associated with tanks and process units. The system builds an optimization model applying identified event boundaries, stream flowrates and pre-determined constraints along a period of time that includes priority slots to reconcile the projected plant data of the initial schedule with the current plant data, and then solves the optimization model to develop a reconciled schedule.

  • Patent number: 11761655
Abstract: There is described a zone controller and method for identifying a root cause failure at a zone. The zone controller determines whether a temperature measurement deviates from a temperature setpoint of the temperature sensor, and generates a first repair code, a second repair code, and/or a third repair code. The first repair code replaces a temperature sensor in response to detecting that a reading of the temperature sensor has failed. The second repair code releases an operator override on the reading of the temperature sensor in response to detecting that the reading of the temperature sensor has been overridden. The third repair code releases an operator override on a setpoint of the temperature sensor in response to detecting that the setpoint of the temperature sensor is outside the predetermined setpoint range. One or more of these repair codes are provided to a remote device.

  • Patent number: 11762375
Abstract: An industrial information hub (IDH) serves as a single industrial ecosystem platform where multiple participants can deliver repeatable and standardized services relevant to their core competencies. The IIH system is centered around the development of an ecosystem that creates and delivers value to users—including industrial enterprises, OEMs, system integrators, vendors, etc.—through the aggregation of digital content and domain expertise. The IIH system serves as a trusted information broker between the ecosystem and the OT environments of plant facilities, and provides a platform for connecting assets, contextualizing asset data and providing secure access to the ecosystem. Additionally, the IIH system provides tools and support to OEMs and other subject matter experts, allowing those experts to enable their digital assets for use in the ecosystem. The IIH system reduces the cost and risks for digital modeling of industrial assets.

  • Patent number: 11747798
Abstract: A Multi-Purpose Dynamic Simulation and run-time Control platform includes a virtual process environment coupled to a physical process environment, where components/nodes of the virtual and physical process environments cooperate to dynamically perform run-time process control of an industrial process plant and/or simulations thereof. Virtual components may include virtual run-time nodes and/or simulated nodes. The MPDSC includes an I/O Switch which delivers I/O data between virtual and/or physical nodes, e.g., by using publish/subscribe mechanisms, thereby virtualizing physical I/O process data delivery. Nodes serviced by the I/O Switch may include respective component behavior modules that are unaware as to whether or not they are being utilized on a virtual or physical node. Simulations may be performed in real-time and even in conjunction with run-time operations of the plant, and/or simulations may be manipulated as desired (speed, values, administration, etc.).

  • Patent number: 11747849
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus embodiments for electric power grid and network registration and management of active grid elements. Grid elements are transformed into active grid elements following initial registration of each grid element with the system, preferably through network-based communication between the grid elements and a coordinator, either in coordination with or outside of an IP-based communications network router. A multiplicity of active grid elements function in the grid for supply capacity, supply and/or load curtailment as supply or capacity. Also preferably, messaging is managed through a network by a Coordinator using IP messaging for communication with the grid elements, with the energy management system (EMS), and with the utilities, market participants, and/or grid operators.
