Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe a smart docking station. The smart docking station may contain a data transfer and an electrical connection which allow a sensor wafer to be charged and to upload and download data. The smart docking station may be located at an off-track storage position above a tool. This location enables an automated materials handling system (AMHS) to retrieve the sensor wafer and deliver it to a tool requiring analysis. The sensor wafer may be stored in a smart front opening unified pod (FOUP). It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 9347254
Abstract: An access controller apparatus and method for controlling physical access to an area are provided to determine a current priority level setting of the access controller and to ignore a received command in response to a comparison of the priority level of the received command to the current priority level setting of the access controller. Thus, a prioritized response to commands is provided such that commands of certain priority levels can be acted upon in certain situations. This helps allow for proper responses to multiple conflicting commands and for prioritized responses to commands of greater importance or of universal impact.

  • Patent number: 9350172
Abstract: Predictive phase balancing is implemented by receiving customer demand profiles from each customer serviced by a poly-phase grid network and creating a demand forecast from anticipated power demands collected from the customer demand profiles. Creating the customer demand profiles includes breaking down loads for each customer by corresponding phases in the poly-phase power grid network. The loads correspond to the anticipated power demands. The predictive phase balancing is further implemented by balancing the loads among each of the phases based on any load imbalances determined from the demand forecast.

  • Patent number: 9347716
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus is provided, in which an air-conditioning condition changed based on a gesture corresponds to an air-conditioning condition displayed on a display device of a remote controller. With an indoor unit 100, when a user U1 performs a predetermined motion (S1-1), a controller 70 determines the motion of the user U1 (S1-2), recognizes that a gesture instruction condition is instructed (S1-3), controls a heat exchanger 4 and other devices based on the gesture instruction signal (S1-4), and causes the gesture instruction signal to be sent to a remote-controller communication device 85 (S1-5). When a remote controller 80 receives the gesture instruction signal (S1-6), the gesture instruction condition is displayed on a remote-controller display device 82 (S1-7), and buzzer sound (electronic beeper sound) is output from a remote-controller sound output device 83 (S1-8).

  • Patent number: 9341228
Abstract: A fan noise and vibration elimination system includes a sound wave sensor, a vibration sensor, a computing controller, a sound wave generator and a vibration generator. The sound wave sensor and the vibration sensor respectively receive noise and vibration produced by a fan during operation thereof to generate corresponding sound wave detection signal and vibration detection signal to the computing controller. Based on the received sound wave detection signal and vibration detection signal, the computing controller generates a sound wave cancel-out signal and a vibration cancel-out signal to the sound wave generator and the vibration generator, respectively, for the latter to generate a phase-inverted sound wave and a reverse vibration frequency to cancel the noise and the vibration produced by the operating fan.

  • Patent number: 9316252
Abstract: A method and a system for establishing and executing correct automatic relubrication for a number of bearings incorporated in a grease lubrication system. The system determines initial values for the relubrication interval tf and/or lubricant volume utilizing data collected from the different bearing assemblies during operation. The data includes bearing load, bearing temperature and bearing rotational speed. A processor calculates a correct lubricant volume and a value for current lubrication interval tf by comparing an initial value with a current value. The calculated correct lubricant volume and current lubrication interval tf are supplying to an automatic lubricating apparatus, which functions in accordance with the determined values. The data collection and calculation procedures are repeated after each application of lubricant to the bearings.

  • Patent number: 9287814
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to, if a frequency decrease has occurred in a power system, avoid a trip in a wind turbine generator and reliably contribute to recovery of the frequency of the power system. The present invention provides a wind turbine generator that, if a predetermined frequency decrease that requires PFR has occurred in the power system, calculates a marginal active power based on the difference between a predetermined rotational speed lower limit value, which is obtained by providing the parallel-off rotational speed with a predetermined margin, and a measured value of the shaft rotational speed, and generates an active power command value based on the marginal active power.
