Abstract: A plastic bottle for filling with hot liquid, of the type including a circumferential lateral wall (10), which is incorporated at its lower part to a bottom portion (F) and at its upper part to a neck portion (G) of said bottle. A plurality of grooves (20) are incorporated along the lateral wall (10) and disposed slightly inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis of the bottle and spaced between the bottom portion (F) and the neck portion (G). The grooves (20) are substantially parallel and spaced from each other by panels (11) of the lateral wall (10) and the grooves (20) have a wall thickness which is symmetrical in relation to the respective longitudinal planes of symmetry and which is dimensioned so that the grooves provide a vertical reinforcement, absorb homogeneously and make imperceptible the circumferential thermal and mechanical contractions of the bottle after cooling.

Abstract: A flat-top, hermetically sealed, paperboard-based container and apparatus and method of making it are set forth. The paperboard-based container includes a rectangular sleeve having upper end sections joined at fold lines with side walls. The upper end sections are divided into inner and outer opposed pairs which are folded toward one another in an overlapping manner to form a generally flat end for the container. Each of the inner and outer opposed sections includes a cutout. When the upper end sections are folded in and overlapping manner, the cutouts define an aperture having edges that include exposed paperboard substrate. Each of the inner pair of opposed end sections are divided along fold lines into a middle region and laterally opposed side regions. The laterally opposed side regions are folded onto the middle region and are sandwiched between the middle region and the outer pair of opposed sections when folded to form the container top.

Abstract: A multi-compartment container for packaging a plurality of articles such as bottles, comprises two or more compartment units and a frangible connecting portion. Each compartment unit comprises a base panel, opposed side panels, opposed end panels and a top panel. Certain adjacent panels of the compartment units partly provide the frangible connecting portion so that removal of the connecting portion causes at least partial separation of the units and provides access for removal of the articles contained in the units. Upon removal of the connecting portion, at least a part of each panel of each compartment unit remains intact.

Abstract: A luggage system of the present invention is provided for transporting an additional piece of luggage having a supplementary tow handle when positioned on a piece of wheeled luggage. The luggage system preferably includes a first piece of wheeled luggage including a body, wheels connected to lower end portions of the body, and a wheeled luggage tow handle connected to the body for towing the wheeled luggage. A second piece of luggage detachably mounts to the wheeled luggage tow handle of the first piece of luggage and is positioned to overlie upper portions of the body of the first piece of wheeled luggage. The second piece of luggage preferably includes a body, a handle retainer connected to the body for retaining the wheeled luggage tow handle, and a supplementary towing handle connected to the body for towing the combination of the first and second pieces of luggage. A method for towing a combination of a piece of luggage and a piece of wheeled luggage by a user is also provided.

Abstract: The nurser is made of a resilient outer shell and a flexible liner. A nipple is attached to the upper end of the outer shell. The outer shell is squeezed to allow the pressure inside to increase and force air in the liner through the nipple. The nurser utilizes a one way valve on the outer shell to allow air into the shell when the pressure is released from the outer shell. This prevents the liner from expanding and air from reentering the liner.

Abstract: A cover device and method of use therefor for a motor vehicle which comprises a means for covering an entirety of a window and only a portion of at least one of a motor vehicle roof adjacent the window, a motor vehicle hood adjacent the window, a motor vehicle component adjacent the top edge portion of the window and a motor vehicle component adjacent the bottom edge portion of the window, and at least one handle for the covering means. The covering means is at least one of closable and securable inside at least one of a motor vehicle door, window and passenger compartment.

Abstract: A release mechanism comprises an ejector formed on a frame member to be movable forward and backward, and a lever rotated in response to a forward movement of the ejector to release a mating connector from conductive contacts. The ejector is located in an opening of the frame member in a normal condition in which the mating connector is inserted in the from member. The ejector is protruded outside the opening only start of releasing operation of the mating connector. The ejector has a first mode enabling a predetermined forward movement and a second mode disabling the predetermined forward movement. The release mechanism further comprises members for cancelling the first mode and putting the ejector into the second mode after the mating connector is released from the conductive contacts, and members for restoring the first mode of the ejector from the second mode in response to an external operation of the ejector while the mating connector is connected to the conductive contacts.

Abstract: A removable insulating container which grips a bottle such that the container is held snugly in place. The container uses a separate lower sleeve and an upper cap which are mounted on a medicine bottle to substantially encase the medicine bottle. The container is fabricated from a multi-layer flexible material which has an impact resistant outer layer and an inner layer which forms an internal channel that grips the side of the medicine bottle. The proximal end of the container has an optional viewing window which allows the user to estimate the amount of medicine remaining in the medicine bottle. The proximal end of the lower sleeve extends past the bottom of the bottle to prevent it from impacting a surface should it be dropped.

Abstract: An improved end closure arrangement for a paperboard container which, when moved to closed position, will remain in a closed position without springing back to an open position. The closure arrangement includes a pair of outer end closure flaps interconnected by a pair of inner bellows members each of which includes three panel elements. The panel elements are foldably joined to a container end wall and to each other along spaced fold lines and are separated from each other by U-shaped cut lines that enable the container closure flaps, when folded to a closed position, to remain in a closed position without springing back to open position.

Abstract: A daily wear organizer (10) comprising an elongated flexible flat substratum (12). A structure (14) is for connecting the flexible flat substratum (12) to a stationary object (14), so that the flexible flat substratum (12) can hang vertically therefrom. A plurality of flexible panels (16) are vertically spaced apart and affixed to the flexible flat substratum (12), so as to form multiple pockets for storing various articles therein.

Abstract: A container for storing and shipping produce made from a blank having top, bottom and side panels with apertures therein defining cut-out areas allowing the passage of vapor through the container, at least some of the apertures overlapping the top and side panels and/or the bottom and side panels, wherein the cut-outs area of the apertures in the top and bottom panels exceeds the cut-out area of the apertures in the side panels.

Abstract: An articulable, open-topped, stackable, side-opening container apparatus is provided, having at least one bottom wall member, with a plurality of opposed side wall members emanating therefrom. The side wall members are articulable from positions substantially coplanar with, to positions substantially perpendicular to, their respective bottom wall members. Mating engagement members, affixed to edges of the side wall members, which are adjacent when the side wall members are upright, maintain the side wall members upright.

Abstract: In a metal suitcase (1) consisting of two suitcase halves (2, 4), each having a broad side (6a,6b), two opposing narrow sides (8a, 8b), an upper side (10a, 10b) and a standing surface (12a, 12b). The suitcase halves(2,4), in the closed condition, engaging each other by a frame(22) which extends along the narrow side(8a, 8b), the upper side (10a, 10b) and the standing surface(12a, 12b). The suitcase halves(2,4) are pivotally connected to each other in the standing surface(12a, 12b). It is provided that each suitcase half(2,4) is formed by two single piece wall elements(14a, 14b, 16a, 16b). The first wall element(14a, 14b) consists of a strip-shaped continuous cast profile having a wall-receiving profile (18) formed to one longitudinal edge and having a frame profile(20,21) formed to the opposite longitudinal edge. The second element (16a, 16b) consists of a plate-shaped metal sheet.

Abstract: The travelling bag of the present invention includes a body portion having a back wall and a support wall attached thereto. The support wall is formed of a rigid plastic material and extends to the back wall. A lid portion of the travelling bag fits over the body portion to close the travelling bag. A partition separates the body portion into a front compartment and a rear compartment. Clothing and other personal items may be placed into the rear compartment, and a computer case can be detachably connected to the support wall within the front compartment.

Abstract: A multi-layer preform for forming multi-layer containers includes an extruded inner barrier layer containing polyethylene naphthalate, said inner layer having an upper portion adapted to be formed into an upper portion of a container, an intermediate portion adapted to be formed into an intermediate portion of a container, an extruded and a base portion adapted to form a base portion of a container. The preform includes an outer injection molded layer. The inner layer has a thickness which differs from the base portion to the upper portion.

Abstract: A golf club organizing assembly includes a plurality of straight members attached at opposite ends to and extending between spaced portions of an open upper end of a carrying bag and a plurality of curved members attached at opposite ends to and extending between spaced portions of the open upper end of the carrying bag. The curved members cross the straight members and together define a plurality of slots for receiving golf clubs in the bag. The straight members are in substantially parallel relation to one another. The curved members are in substantially concentric relation to one another. The assembly may further include a continuous round member attachable to and retrofitable at the open upper end of the carrying bag where the straight and curved members are attached at their opposite ends to and extend between spaced portions of the round member and are not directly attached to the open upper end of the bag.
