  • Patent number: 10028190
Abstract: A technique is disclosed, according to which a mobile node, having a plurality of interfaces and performing communication according to flow information when an operator is performing communication based on the flow information as defined by a policy, can select an interface suitable for the flow and can perform communication. According to this technique, a mobile node (MN 10) having a plurality of interfaces has a list to indicate domain limited flows to be transmitted only within a specific network (a trusted network), and a list to indicate the trusted networks. When a certain interface performs handover, and in case there is a domain limited flow that uses the interface, it is decided whether the network of handover destination is a trusted network or not, and in case the network of the handover destination is not a trusted network, it is decided whether it is possible or not to transmit and receive the domain limited flow via another interface that is connected to the trusted network.

  • Patent number: 9986418
Abstract: A method of determining a network leakage rate within a wireless communication network that uses counters within an application server. The number of users at a second point in time, determined by the counters, is subtracted from a number of users at a first point in time, determined by the counters, to provide a first result. The number of user attempts to access the network, determined by the counters, is multiplied by a success rate and then the number of users leaving the network (de-registering from the network or handing off to a different network) is subtracted to provide a second result. The second result is subtracted from the first result and then divided by the number of users at the first point in time. The absolute value is the network leakage rate.

  • Patent number: 9980112
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for coordinating an emergency response at a facility. The system includes employee's user devices (UDs), an employee database that stores employee metadata, a module that stores facilities metadata, and a server system that hosts an application that interfaces with the UDs and monitors their locations within the facility. When a trigger event occurs (e.g., request for help or evacuation order), the application can determine the location of at least a first UD of an employee and identification information for the employee based on employee metadata. Based on facilities metadata, the application can generate a floorplan that includes an icon that represents the location of the first UD within the facility and the identification information. Some of the employees are members of an emergency response team (ERT). The floorplan can be displayed at the ERT member's UDs along with other information that helps ERT members coordinate the emergency response.
