    Abstract: A method and circuit for controlling the compensation for channel mismatches are used in an electronic device which includes a signal transmission circuit or a signal receiving circuit that have two channels. The electronic device further includes a channel mismatch compensation circuit. The method includes: (A) determining a frequency of a test signal; (B) causing the test signal to pass through the signal transmission circuit or the signal receiving circuit, and measuring an image signal; (C) adjusting a compensation parameter of the channel mismatch compensation circuit to change an amplitude of the image signal; (D) determining, according to the amplitude of the image signal, a target compensation parameter of the channel mismatch compensation circuit, the target compensation parameter corresponding to the frequency of the test signal; (E) repeating steps (A) to (D) to obtain multiple target compensation parameters; and (F) determining a compensation mechanism based on the target compensation parameters.

The link includes lanes that each includes a transmitter with an equalization setting and a receiver. The processor initiates a training of the high-speed data communication interface to determine a setting value for the equalization setting for each lane, determines a lane quality value for each lane based upon the associated setting value, determines a link score based on the lane quality values, and determines that the lane quality score is outside a threshold range. In response to determining that the lane quality score is outside the threshold range, the processor selects a lane that has a lane quality value that has a greater magnitude than the lane quality values of all other lanes, increases the equalization setting of the first lane, and initiates a retraining of the other lanes.

    Abstract: A round-trip, spread-spectrum navigation and locating system achieves high capacity and large processing gains in one-to-many and many-to-one configurations using round-trip signaling with frequency division based upon precise responding device carrier frequency offsets. Reduced cross-correlation is achieved by assigning these very small disparate frequency offsets to replies from interrogated devices so that the long-term correlation between disparate reply sequences is reduced almost to that of random noise of equivalent energy. The invention supports simultaneous interrogation of multiple responding devices, which responding devices respond essentially simultaneously at a fixed delay after receiving the query. The originating and/or responding devices may be fixed or mobile, permanently or temporarily deployed, terrestrial, airbourne or space-based with any source of power including batteries and solar without limitation.
