  • Patent number: 7901329
Abstract: A swinging gymnastic machine includes a front swinging assembly, a rear swinging assembly, a handle assembly pivotally secured to the front swinging assembly, and a pedal assembly pivotally secured to the rear swinging assembly. Each of the front and rear swinging assemblies has a spring unit. The front and rear swinging assemblies are durable and are unsusceptible of deflection. The swinging gymnastic machine also has the benefit of reducing the occupied space when it is not in use as both a front leg and the handle assembly are adapted to be folded rearwardly. A person has to exert a great force to overcome the resistance of both the front and rear swinging assemblies through the arms and calves in order to effectively exercise.

  • Patent number: 7892154
Abstract: An apparatus and method designed to strengthen, develop, and rehabilitate the anatomy of the human ankle is herein disclosed, comprising a large stable floor base and a plurality of resistant shock absorber-like members extending therefrom a foot securing platform. A user's foot is placed thereon and connected thereto the foot platform by toe and heel cuffs. Each motion resistant cylinder has adjustment means for reducing or adding resistance. In use, the attached lower leg and foot is restrained in all planar and vertical axes; however, the user is able to move their foot in a vertical and orbital manner against the resistance of the cylinders resulting in rehabilitation and/or strengthening of the muscles, tendons and ligaments surrounding the ankle. Improving ankle strength and mobility using this apparatus would have athletic, fitness, and therapeutic benefits.

  • Patent number: 7862476
Abstract: A control system and method for exercise equipment and the like provides a way to simulate a physical activity in a manner that takes into account the physics of the physical activity being simulated to provide an accurate simulation. According to one aspect of the present invention, the control system and method takes into account the physics of the corresponding physical activity to generate a virtual or predicted value of a variable such as velocity, acceleration, force, or the like. The difference between the virtual or expected physical variable and a measured variable is used as a control input to control resistance forces of the exercise equipment in a way that causes the user to experience forces that are the same or similar to the forces that would be encountered if the user were actually performing the physical activity being simulated rather than using the exercise equipment.

  • Patent number: 7841971
Abstract: A golf exercising apparatus is provided. The apparatus can include a horizontal base member with platform, a vertical lower frame member attached to the base member and a vertical upper frame member pivotally attached to the lower frame member whereby the upper frame member can tilt side-to-side relative to the lower frame member to accommodate right-handed and left-handed golf swings. A pivoting pulley assembly can be supported at an elevated position by the upper frame member. A cable can be anchored at one end to the upper frame member or to the pulley assembly. The other end of the cable can pass through the pulley assembly and can have a handle attached thereon. The cable can be tensioned to provide resistance by suspending weights from the cable between its anchored end and the pulley assembly. The golf swing is exercised by pulling the handle in a golf swing-like motion. Increasing the weights suspended on the cable increases the resistance in the golf swing motion.
