Abstract: An image pickup device which captures sound and a moving image prevents deterioration in a reproduction quality. A scene change detector detects a frame at the time of a scene change from among a plurality of frames imaged at a predetermined frame rate as a detection frame. A frame rate converting unit converts a frame rate of the frame imaged outside a detection to a lower frame rate. A video reproduction time setting unit sets a reproduction time when reproduction is performed at the lower frame rate as a video reproduction time. An audio reproduction time setting unit sets an audio reproduction time at constant intervals for sounds recorded at constant intervals outside the detection period and sets an audio reproduction time in synchronization with the video reproduction time corresponding to the detection frame relative to sound recorded in the detection period.

Abstract: A wearable display apparatus for viewing video images of scenes and/or objects illuminated with infrared light, the display apparatus including a transparent display that is positioned in a user's field of vision when the display apparatus is worn, a stereoscopic video camera device including at least two cameras that each capture reflected infrared light images of a surrounding environment and a projection system that receives the infrared light images from the stereoscopic camera device, and simultaneously projects (i) a first infrared-illuminated video image in real-time onto a left eye viewport portion of the transparent display that overlaps a user's left eye field of vision and (ii) a second infrared-illuminated video image in real-time onto a right eye viewport portion of the transparent display that overlaps a user's right eye field of vision.
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for selecting frames for decode and display during different playback modes of a media player. Prediction dependencies may be estimated among frames from a sample table of a media item identifying dependency state among frames in the media item. Based on a playback rate of a media player, a collection of frames may be identified from the media item that have presentation times within a display refresh time of the player. A frame may be selected for decode and display during the display refresh time based on the estimated prediction dependencies. The selected frame may be decoded for display during the player display refresh time.
Abstract: In order to provide a recording and reproducing device that allows a user to select and manage arbitrary play lists, a unit of management for managing all registered play list information and an upper management hierarchical level are added. The unit of management is adapted to be handled on the same level with unified information that indicates a reproduction range of all AV data. User-defined unified information is adapted to be handled on the added management hierarchical level. The user-defined unified information is formed to allow arbitrary reproduction ranges contained on a lower hierarchical level to be registered.

The multipurpose trail camera is compatible with various hardware modules that may be attached to its imaging device to provide various functionality. Each hardware module may include various hardware features including image storage, power supply, communication, and image processing capabilities. This allows a user to select one or more hardware modules he or she desires to suit particular needs, a particular environment of use, or the like.
Abstract: A music information generating device, including: a block color name recognizing part which selects and determines, from among plural color names which are made to correspond to plural ranges of color attribute value having been set beforehand, a color name corresponding to the representative-color of the block as a block color name of the block, by recognizing to which range of the color attribute value the representative-color of the block belongs, where the plural color names have been made or are going to be made to correspond to the plural sound-source names having been stored; and a diagram music-score generating unit which selects, based on a criterion having been set beforehand, a designated block from among the blocks having been arranged in lattice shape, and thereby generates a diagram music-score.
Abstract: An audio stream of a video is selected for enhancement using image of the video. In one example, audio streams in the video are identified and segregated. Points of interest and their locations are identified in the image of the video. The position of each audio stream is plotted to a location of a point of interest. A selection of a point of interest from the sequence of images is received. A plotted audio stream is selected based on the corresponding point of interest and the selected audio stream is enhanced.
Abstract: Assistance information related to a tier framework may describe signaling for extractable and decodable sub-sequences based on pictures interdependencies. This may allow a video application to efficiently select pictures when performing a given trick mode.

Abstract: A user interface adaptation module identifies a dominant color of a portion selection of a frame of a video and, based on the dominant color, generates colors for components of a user interface in which the video is displayed. The colors of the user interface components are set based upon the generated colors and upon context information such as a playing state of the video. The setting of the component colors in this way allows the user interface to adjust to complement both the played content of the video and the video's context. In one embodiment, the dominant color is identified by partitioning individual pixels of the portion selection based on their respective colors. In one embodiment, a set of primary color variants is generated based on the dominant color, and different colors are generated for each type of user interface component based on the different primary color variants.
