  • Patent number: 10447963
Abstract: Video footage captured by A/V recording and communication devices may be readily uploaded to the cloud and shared with a requesting party, such as a law enforcement agency. When a request is received from a requesting party for video footage, a set of videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party may be determined. Consent requests may then be sent to users associated with each of the A/V recording and communication devices that recorded the videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party. When user consents to share the videos are received, the video footage may be provided to the requesting party.

  • Patent number: 10427588
Abstract: An apparatus includes a sensor and a processor. The sensor may be configured to generate a video signal based on a targeted view from a vehicle. The processor may be configured to perform video analysis on video frames of the video signal to detect an object, perform a classification of the object, provide a confidence level of the classification and generate a control signal in response to the classification of the object. The control signal may be used to reshape a beam of one or more headlights of the vehicle. The reshaping of the beams of the headlights may be determined based on a location of the object in the video frames and the confidence level of the classification. The confidence level of the classification of the object may be adjusted in response to a second classification of a second object detected in the video frame.

  • Patent number: 10422755
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies related to inspecting transparent containers for both opaque and transparent defects. An emitter is configured to direct a color gradient through a sidewall of a transparent container, such that color of light that passes through the sidewall varies across the sidewall. A camera is configured to capture an image of the sidewall of the transparent container while the color gradient passes through the sidewall of the container. A computing system receives the image and determines whether the sidewall of the container includes either an opaque or a transparent defect based upon the image.

  • Patent number: 10401793
Abstract: Motility contrast imaging (MCI) is a depth-resolved holographic technique to extract cellular and subcellular motion inside tissue. The holographic basis of the measurement technique makes it highly susceptible to mechanical motion. The motility contrast application, in particular, preferably includes increased mechanical stability because the signal is based on time-varying changes caused by cellular motion, which should not be confused with mechanical motion of the system. Apparatus for motility contrast imaging that provides increased mechanical stability are disclosed. It is based on common-path configurations, in which the signal and reference beams share optical elements in their paths to the detector. The two beams share mechanical motions in common, and hence those motions do not contribute to the signal.

  • Patent number: 10380432
Abstract: An on-board camera apparatus includes a camera module, a control circuit board, a housing, a bracket, and a hood. The housing houses the camera module and the control circuit board. The bracket fixes the housing to a front windshield of the own vehicle. The hood is arranged so as to cover the camera module. The camera module captures an image of an area ahead of an own vehicle. As captured images, the camera module generates a plurality of linear images in which a relationship between luminance and an output pixel value is fixed. Based on the linear images, the camera module further generates high dynamic range images in which a relationship between luminance and an output pixel value differs depending on a luminance region, under a predetermined imaging mode. The control circuit board enables a plurality of types of driving-related processes based on the captured images to be performed.

  • Patent number: 10337923
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for processing spectral imaging (SI) data. A training operation estimates reconstruction matrices based on a spectral mosaic of an SI sensor, generates directionally interpolated maximum a-priori (MAP) estimations of image data based on the estimated reconstruction matrices. The training operation may determine filter coefficients for each of a number of cross-band interpolation filters based at least in part on the MAP estimations, and may determine edge classification factors based at least in part on the determined filter coefficients. The training operation may configure a cross-band interpolation circuit based at least in part on the determined filter coefficients and the determined edge classification factors. The configured cross-band interpolation circuit captures mosaic data using the SI sensor, and recovers full-resolution spectral data from the captured mosaic data.

  • Patent number: 10326917
Abstract: A monitoring camera is equipped with a touch sensor in a camera cover glass, which senses positions of objects touching or being close to the cover glass. The touch sensor aids the camera in separating image data depicting objects on the cover glass from image data depicting the monitored scene. This information may be used when choosing image capture settings, by indicating to the camera which image regions are less important to take into account, and to avoid false alarms which otherwise may occur when rain drops or insects on the cover glass are mistaken for events in the scene.
