Abstract: Methods and apparatus for interfaces to manage inter-regional connectivity for direct network peerings. A system may include a connectivity coordinator, a first resource collection in a first geographical zone and a second resource collection in a second geographical zone. The coordinator implements a programmatic interface defining connectivity operations. The coordinator receives a request via the interface to establish a logically isolated network path to the second resource collection on behalf of a client that has a dedicated physical link set up to connect to the first resource collection. In response to the request, the coordinator performs one or more configuration operations to enable traffic to flow from the client's network to the second resource collection over a logically isolated network path using the dedicated physical link.

  • Patent number: 11782868
Abstract: A method for providing multi-tenancy support for RDMA in a system that includes a plurality of physical hosts. Each each physical host hosts a set of data compute nodes (DCNs). The method, at an RDMA protocol stack of the first host, receives a packet that includes a request from a first DCN hosted on a first host for RDMA data transfer from a second DCN hosted on a second host. The method sends a set of parameters of an overlay network that are associated with the first DCN to an RDMA physical network interface controller of the first host. The set of parameters are used by the RDMA physical NIC to encapsulate the packet with an RDMA data transfer header and an overlay network header by using the set of parameters of the overlay network to transfer the encapsulated packet to the second physical host using the overlay network.

  • Patent number: 11785012
Abstract: A user device is configured to receive a request to connect an Internet of Things (IoT) device to the user device. In response, the user device connects to the IoT device. The user device detects that the user device performed a first transaction related to the IoT device and records the first data transaction as a behavior. Based on the recorded behavior, the user device determines a second data transaction that can be performed relating to the IoT device and a schedule to perform the second data transaction. The user device performs the second data transaction according to the schedule after obtaining approval.

  • Patent number: 11765251
Abstract: A system for effectively addressing the fast-producer and slow-consumer problem for persistent hybrid cloud caches. In particular, the system and associated methods ensure the integrity of data stored by persistent caches by utilizing a plurality of journals, including a user journal and a cloud journal. The user journal records operations conducted by users of the system in records. Before the records are transferred to a cloud storage system, the records are transferred to the cloud journal, which may he configured to he larger than the user journal. Once a record is transferred from the user journal to the cloud journal, the record may be released from the user journal, thereby increasing capacity of the user journal for subsequent operations to be recorded. Each record may then be transferred to the cloud storage system from the cloud journal, which may then cause each record to be released from the cloud journal.
