  • Patent number: 11516087
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for connecting processors using twisted torus configurations. In some implementations, a cluster of processing nodes is coupled using a reconfigurable interconnect fabric. The system determines a number of processing nodes to allocate as a network within the cluster and a topology for the network. The system selects an interconnection scheme for the network, where the interconnection scheme is selected from a group that includes at least a torus interconnection scheme and a twisted torus interconnection scheme. The system allocates the determined number of processing nodes of the cluster in the determined topology, sets the reconfigurable interconnect fabric to provide the selected interconnection scheme for the processing nodes in the network, and provides access to the network for performing a computing task.

  • Patent number: 11509531
Abstract: A command and response messaging mechanism for use between nodes of a homogeneous data grid can allow a configuration state to be quickly provisioned to the nodes of a cluster at run time for an application running on the data grid. For example, a processing device of a node can receive a global configuration state from a peer node in the grid network. The processing device can apply common values for symmetrical attributes from the global configuration state to a local configuration. The processing device can also apply individual node values for asymmetrical attributes from the global configuration state to the local configuration. The processing device can then run the application on the local node using the local configuration.

  • Patent number: 11509729
Abstract: Service management incident data stored in a normalized format on a database is accessed from a hosted client instance responsive a REST API call by a client application on a mobile device in an online database session in an online mode between the hosted client instance and the client application. Responsive to an indication of the client application operating in offline mode, a batch request is executed on the database to generate a payload corresponding to a subset of the data, the payload having a denormalized format that is optimized for transmission to the mobile device and caching onto a local database on the mobile device for access in offline mode. Data from the cached subset of data stored on the local database is accessible by the mobile device in a simulated database session in the offline mode between the client application and the local database via a simulation API.

  • Patent number: 11496569
Abstract: IoT devices are usually single-purpose devices with a set of instructions and parameters. This disclosure relates to a versatile framework that overcomes technical challenges for repurposing nodes operating in an IoT environment. Specifically, this disclosure describes security and functionality adaptations for versatile nodes (“vnodes”) operating within an IoT environment. Vnodes may include segmented data storage locations that allow multiple set of instructions and parameters to be stored on the vnode. The multiple sets of instructions/parameters may allow a vnode to perform a wide range of activities in different IoT operating environments. For example, a vnode may attach to a car during a trip then attach itself to the garage door, then re-attach to the car in the morning. Data storage may be segmented and allow data sharing between segmented storage locations. Data storage may be segmented and not allow data sharing between storage locations and thereby increases data controls.

  • Patent number: 11494212
Abstract: Technologies for adaptive platform resource management include a compute node to manage a processor core mapping scheme between virtual machines (VMs) and a virtual switch of the compute node via a set of virtual ports. The virtual switch is also coupled to a network interface controller (NIC) of the compute node via another set of virtual ports. Each of the VMs is configured to either provide ingress or egress to the NIC or provide ingress/egress across the VMs, via the virtual ports. The virtual ports for providing ingress or egress to the NIC are pinned to a same processor core of a processor of the compute node, and each of the virtual ports for providing ingress and/or egress across the VMs are pinned to a respective processor core of the processor such that data is transferred across VMs by coupled virtual ports that are pinned to the same processor core.

  • Patent number: 11496606
Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel inline switches that distribute data messages from source compute nodes (SCNs) to different groups of destination service compute nodes (DSCNs). In some embodiments, the inline switches are deployed in the source compute nodes datapaths (e.g., egress datapath). The inline switches in some embodiments are service switches that (1) receive data messages from the SCNs, (2) identify service nodes in a service-node cluster for processing the data messages based on service policies that the switches implement, and (3) use tunnels to send the received data messages to their identified service nodes. Alternatively, or conjunctively, the inline service switches of some embodiments (1) identify service-nodes cluster for processing the data messages based on service policies that the switches implement, and (2) use tunnels to send the received data messages to the identified service-node clusters.

  • Patent number: 11490453
Abstract: A self-organizing device may include a recovery control module which may monitor different events from various different domains, for example from different layers of the software stack, associated with wireless communications of the device. Upon identifying a specific condition based on the monitored information, the device may execute a corresponding auto-recovery mechanism to mitigate adverse effects of the condition experienced by the device. Devices may provide monitored information to servers, e.g. to cloud servers, which may use expert systems to analyze the information collected from multiple devices, for example from globally dispersed devices, and may define mitigation action responses corresponding to specific scenarios or conditions that include device-specific considerations.
