  • Patent number: 6148842
Abstract: The compensation element is compensating for temperature-conditioned length changes of an object. An injection valve that is fully functional in the entire range of the operating temperatures of a motor requires a device that compensates thermally conditioned length changes of the mechanical components (piezo-electric actuator, valve lifter, housing, etc.). This device should be capable of absorbing great forces and allow a stiff bearing of the actuator. The compensation element (3) has an oil-filled chamber (21) is composed of an actuator-side upper part (18), of a lower part (19) supported on a stiff bearing (valve housing 17), and of a structure (annular seal element 20) sealing the chamber (21) and yielding in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6142442
Abstract: The invention provides an electrically activated valve assembly for control of a fluid. It has a diaphragm with a control chamber on one side and a flow barrier on the second side. Portions of a first flow passage and a second flow passage are on the second side of the diaphragm, with the flow barrier between them. When the control chamber has a relatively high pressure, the diaphragm is pressed against the flow barrier, isolating the first flow passage from the second flow passage. When the control chamber has a relatively low pressure, the diaphragm moves away from the flow barrier, so flow may occur between the first flow passage and the second flow passage. The position of the diaphragm is determined by pressure in the control chamber so the pressure in the control chamber controls the fluid flow connection between the first flow passage and the second flow passage.

  • Patent number: 6138612
Abstract: This invention relates to a slow pull dryer comprising a rectangular water tank and a wave eliminator. The water tank has four vertical side-walls and a bottom plate with a water hole for filling hot water wherein the hot water filled in the water tank can spill out of the water tank from the top side of one predetermined side-wall. The wave eliminator is installed at the bottom of the water tank. The lower side of the wave eliminator has a rectangular recess facing downward, and the upper side of the wave eliminator has a line-shaped opening in parallel with the predetermined side-wall. The hot water from the water hole flows into the recess and its flowing speed is slowed down in the recess. The line-shaped opening allows the hot water in the recess flow upward into the upper portion of the water tank and form a panel-shaped vertical water flow.

  • Patent number: 6135765
Abstract: A Pyrocleaning Furnace and Thermal Oxidizer System which degreases metal components and comprises an oven, an oxidizer, a system gas supply means, a system gas exhaust means, and a first heat exchanger. The degreasing is accomplished by first transporting the metal components through the oven and exposing the oil coated metal components to hot gases which have a temperature above the vaporization point of the oil, but not one that is exceedingly high thereby also preventing the thickening of the oxide layer of the metal components. The hot gases are introduced into oven by way of the system gas supply means and do not include products of combustion (indirect heating). Since the gases are at a temperature above the vaporization point of the oil, upon contact with the metal components, the gases cause the oil to evaporate from the metal components. The resultant hydrocarbon-filled surrounding gases are then quickly evacuated from the oven and transported to the oxidizer.
