Abstract: A method for issuing and returning an item for loan, particularly a manually movable transport cart. A blocking element allows removal and use of the item by way of a release and, after a return, once more prevents the removal. A mobile communication device identifies itself to the blocking element wirelessly, the mobile communication device is associated with the item for loan when the item is released, and the association is cancelled when the item is returned. An issuing and return system has the blocking element attached to the item for loan, in particular is integrated in the item. The blocking element has a communication module for wireless communication with the mobile communication device of a customer. The mobile communication device has an identification feature, particularly a feature that personalizes the customer and which enables the association between the mobile communication device and the item for loan.

Abstract: A system including an e-commerce server configured to communicate with a rent-to-own (RTO) management application and a consumer device is disclosed. The e-commerce server includes: i) an e-commerce application configured to provide an e-commerce website to the consumer device, the e-commerce website having a plurality of e-commerce user interfaces including a checkout interface, and ii) a RTO plug-in integrated with the e-commerce application to facilitate a RTO transaction through the e-commerce website. The RTO plug-in is executable by the e-commerce server to: i) integrate a RTO control element in the checkout interface, wherein the RTO control element is selectable to initiate the RTO transaction as a payment option for a good, and ii) after selection of the RTO control element, provide to the consumer device one or more than one RTO user interface received from the RTO management application, to facilitate completion of the RTO transaction through the e-commerce website.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a concept for determining the relevance of a tag within a post. Responsive to receiving a post composed by a first user and containing a tag referring to a second user, a post context based on a topic of the post, a user context based on a record of the first user and a tag context based on a record of the second user are obtained. The post context and the user context are compared to the tag context, and it is determined whether the tag is relevant to the post and the first user based on comparing the post context and the user context to the tag context.

Each threshold can indicate an amount of change that is determined to be permissible for the data file, for the corresponding rule. The service provider can determine whether the data file is valid based partly on analyzing the modification data in view of the rule(s). Valid data files can be stored in a database that represents a source of truth and invalid data files can be routed to error handling.

Abstract: In a method for applying penalties or incentives to a driver of a rented vehicle, an indication that the driver has agreed to terms for renting the vehicle from the vehicle owner is received, with the terms including the potential application of penalties or incentives to the driver based on driving behavior. Telematics data, indicative of operation of the rented vehicle by the driver during a period of time, is received. By analyzing the telematics data, one or more driving behaviors of the driver during the time period is/are identified. For each driving behavior, a corresponding state of an environment of the rented vehicle when the driving behavior occurred is determined. One or more penalties or incentives are caused to be applied to the driver, based on the driving behavior(s) and the corresponding state(s) of the environment of the rented vehicle.

A server device receives a request to display a map image via a graphical user interface (GUI). The server device accesses a data store to retrieve property data items corresponding to the map image. The server device generates and assigns, for each of the property data items, a property quadkey. The server device filters, using a first map quadkey of the map image, the property data items to obtain two or more property data items. The server device aggregates the two or more property data items into an aggregate property marker and generates an aggregate quadkey for the aggregate property marker.
