    Abstract: The electrical outlet faceplate with electrical cord cleat is a cleat plate that is for use with an electrical outlet faceplate. The cleat plate is a structure around which a cable can be secured such that the cable will not be disconnected or damaged inadvertently. The electrical outlet faceplate with electrical cord cleat is attached by a hinge to the electrical outlet faceplate allowing the cleat plate to be rotated to a position perpendicular to the electrical face plate while the cleat plate is in use and allowing the cleat plate to be rotated to a closed position flush to the electrical outlet faceplate when the cleat plate is not in use. A rear connector body includes a leading end with a front extension, a boss, a trailing end, and two internal bores extending from the trailing end to the leading end. Sliding assembly of the connector bodies enables minimizing the size of the connector bodies for reducing unit production costs while enabling easy disassembly of the two connector body portions for inspection of internal cable connections.

The support bars protrude upward from edges of the main housing, and are elastically deformable in a direction away from the main housing. The temporary fastening portions protrude downward from edges of the upper housing. When the temporary fastening portions are seated on the upper portions of the support bars, the upper housing is temporarily fastened to the main housing. When the support bars are elastically deformed, the temporary fastening portions exit the state of being seated on the upper portions of the support bars, and thus the temporary fastening is released.
