  • Patent number: 9866705
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium used in reloading a mobile number are disclosed. According to some embodiments, in performing the method, the apparatus receives a request of reloading the mobile number. The request is sent by a terminal, but the mobile number does not correspond to the terminal. The apparatus then obtains information on the mobile number, and determines whether the mobile number is a trusted number based on the obtained information. When the mobile number is a trusted number, the apparatus reloads the mobile number. When the mobile number is not a trusted number, the apparatus alerts the terminal that the mobile number is not a trusted number.

  • Patent number: 9860692
Abstract: Determining a location of a user device comprises a wireless system supported by wireless access points receiving signals from a user device. The wireless system estimates a location of the user device based on a coarse calculation based on an angle of arrival of the received signal and determines if the user device is in an area under an access point. The wireless system identifies received signal strength indicator values for the user device and uses the values and the calculated location of the user device to improve calibration of a received signal strength location model. If the system determines that the user is not in the area under the access point, the wireless system combines the coarse calculation location, a received signal strength determined location, and a previous received signal strength determined location, and estimates a location based on the combined calculations.

  • Patent number: 9848295
Abstract: A device to be disposed on a subject for determining whether the subject is inside or outside of a containment zone defined by a containment perimeter. There is a positioning unit for generating position data, including satellite positioning data, of the subject; the position data. There is a processor unit, in communication with the positioning unit, configured to receive data from a memory representing a plurality of line segments forming the containment perimeter and obtain the position data of the subject. The processor casts a ray from the position of the subject toward a line segment of the containment perimeter and determines the number of line segments that are intersected by the ray. • Patent number: 9817552
Abstract: A search result set is communicated to a first user as hypertext descriptions of data items constituting the result search set. A check box is displayed adjacent each hypertext description, utilizing which the first user may select a subset of the search result set. This subset is then communicated to a second user, again as hypertext descriptions of the subset. Check boxes are furthermore displayed to the second user so as to enable the second user to select a further and narrower subset of the search result set. Selected items of a result set of an Internet-based search may in this way conveniently be communicated between first and second users. Each of a number of interfaces provides the hypertext descriptions of the data items of the search result set.

  • Patent number: 9813874
Abstract: A mobile application tracks a user's behavior and activities and, in particular, a geo-location. The mobile application may then produce a profile of the user's behaviors and locations. This may be used to optimize mobile device power and may also be used as a data aggregator to collect and gather user information for other purposes, such as data marketing and modeling. In an embodiment, the mobile application is continuously monitoring the mobile device's battery level and power usage and determining the most power-efficient approach for tracking the device's location. One-hundred percent location accuracy is not always required when profiling a user's behavior. It may be more critical to simply determine the general location of the device and the associated user. The application may continuously function in the background while expending the least amount of power possible.

  • Patent number: 9807214
Abstract: Architecture that enables the implementation of temporary contacts by the inclusion of additional data with each contact. The additional data can comprise geolocation data such as GPS coordinates, triangulation information, or other geographical coordinate or location data technologies. Additionally, the mere presence of the additional data can be a trigger to interact with the user as to if the contact should be maintained in the long term or removed in the short term. The association of the geolocation location data of a mobile device with a contact being added and intelligent use of the geolocation data enables prompting of the user to delete or mark for deletion the contact as a temporary contact or retain the contact until marked for removal and removed. Spatial and/or temporal criteria can be manually selected or automatically set for all designated temporary contacts or on an individual basis.
